March is overbooked and the best solution is for Sony to push back two big games, namely GT5 and God of War III into the months of April and May of next year respectively if they want all their big hitters to sell well. Mike Portnoy announced on Nov. 11, a list of his band's plans after their 2009 world tour, which will include recording a new instrumental track for the upcoming game God of War 3. According to an article from GameInformer.com, the District 9 Blu-ray movie will include a playable demo of God of War III. The District 9 Blu-ray won't be released until December 29, 2009, so it's a bit of a longer wait for the God of War III demo than when the demo on the God of War Collection will be released. What's different from the God of War Collection's included demo is that the District 9 Blu-ray will include the God of War III demo on the disc itself, rather than having to download it. GameInformer.com also noted that a behind-the-scenes of the making of God of War 3 will also be viewable, once you complete the demo.

After all, Sony did promise us native 1080p@60FPS gaming from launch, but we are still waiting. Several sites have listed God of War III to be among one of the few titles that is in fact 1080p native. Will be interesting to see whether or not there is any truth to this, considering that a vast majority of 1080p games are arcade ones. No game of this caliber has been rendered at a resolution higher than 720p on console previously.

Sony surveyed potential God of War III fans this week about what they'd like to see in a collector's edition for the PlayStation 3 sequel, including repackaging the first two games on Blu-ray.

That would almost certainly indicate that PlayStation 2 games would be playable on the PlayStation 3, a backwards compatibility option that the most recent PS3 configurations don't offer. And that would be just about the greatest thing since in-game text chat to hit the console.

Not so fast, Sony Computer Entertainment reps say. The console maker is not announcing updated PS2 support just yet.
