i'm sick of everyone speaking so highly of God of war. i've played it and am not very impressed. there are a truckload of games i would play before brushing the dust of of god of war. The whole god of war series is mediocer at best.

Yep. The 3 Million other people would like a word with you kfs777. Sure. Games do things better than God of War.
But can they package it all together and make it one Great game in one? Because last I checked, God of War can, from it's story telling, to its satisfying Combat system, because it truthfully, isn't a typical hack n' slash. Go up against Ares in the original without blocking. You will die. Quickly.

Sebastian 16, just because you are probably some kind of 360 or wii fanboy doesn't mean you have to be ignorant. I own all three consoles and play them all, mainly my 360, and short sided ignorance like that is a sign that you are a biased, misinformed douche. There is nothing wrong with the ps3 itself, I would have to say that all and all it is a superior console to the 360, it's only problem is all the wasted potential, the same applies for the wii, there are a ton of extremely pretty ps3 exclusives, the only thing these games tend to do wrong is that the gameplay is average at best, whereas multi platform releases like, say, Dead Space or Mirrors Edge generally tend to be better AND available on both consoles, so the ps3s potential has so far been pretty much wasted, somethign that this is looking to fix, as the god of war series has been great from the beginning and this looks to be no exception, just much bigger and prettier. You shouldn't allow your bias to change your opinion on a game, a lot of people has posted comments saying they wish they could play it, because god of war is amazing, the console a game is on means nothing

I actually agree with Jorw. It looks good, and very cinematic, but it doesn't look like anything the X360 couldn't do.

I'm glad that I have a PS3 once again.... Just like when LBP came out.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a PS3 fanboy, I just bought that first and am currently slowly saving up for a semi-decent model of the 360.

Having just the PS3 doesn't earn me any respect from my classmates, but that's because they don't understand that I'm not a fanboy, I just can't afford to buy both the 360 and the PS3.
GOW is not going to go mulitplatform, just like Halo, Gears, and L4D weren't.

Once I get a 360, I'm going to be happy and be able to play all the exclusive games that both Sony and Microsoft put out.
Until then, I'm going to play the death out of all my games, multiplatform or not =)

Well, I always said that when GOWIII came out (or when the LOTR trilogy came out on BR), I'd pick up the PS3. And this thing looks fucking EPIC!

the ps3 is taunting me. first LBP, then killzone 2, and now this.

The thing about PS3 owners is they don't actually want games like Halo and Gears of War. And is there any guarantee that the GTA DLC will not release on the PS3? I thought I'd read somewhere that Microsoft bought temporary exclusivity only. Either way, even if PS3 owners do want those things, they can just buy a 360. Because unlike 360 owners, they're more likely to have bought their consoles with their own money, as opposed to asking their mommies for the cheapest next gen console, which is actually more expensive by far when you add up all of the additional costs. But when parents are buying, there's no wonder Wii and 360 are selling. PS3 is for hardcore, mature, independent gamers--no longer the majority, but the most reliable, making the PS3 solid. LBP is absolutely amazing. Beat it long ago and I feel like it's a new game every day. I was already hyped about GoW, and I can't fucking believe how much this article has amplified that. I didn't think it was possible, which speaks both to the game, and to the article.

And kfs, GoW is the absolute best action melee series ever, cemented by the fact that it doesn't rely on addictive gimmicks.

the entire thought of another God OF War game makes me want to Pee my pants not only is the God Of War Franchise making dough like crazy but has the great games they made to stand by it not only was it the best PS2 franchise but with the power of the PS3 Like you said it could change every thing

I think Killzone 2 has already shown wot the ps3 has to offer graphics wise. GOW3 will show wot the ps3 can offer gameplay wise like no other game befre (except maybe MGS4)

HOLY CRAP!!! I have to admit after the first trailer i was kind of 'cool but not great' due to the lack of length. Now after reading this article and watching the trailer in glorified HD on my PS3 I have slapped myself 3 times, crapped myself twice, and I'm pretty sure I just pissed myself ALL IN EXCITEMENT FOR THIS GAME!!! That gameplay looks so Epic and cinematic that I'm still trying to get over the fact that its real. This one is a winner for sure!!!

I had a choice of 360 or PS3 and I chose the 360 because of the games. I had an original xbox before and both PS' and the PS games didnt really interest me. This doesnt look like it will change that becuse the first 2 GOW games were mediocre to me.
