Tawkn.com has posted eleven 1080p screens from the God of War 3 trailer, and it looks drooly good - even better than when in motion, since the trailer went so quickly. Now you can sit back and really get a good look.

Who is the best person to give his opinion when it comes to God of War? I wouldn't know anyone better than David Jaffe, the man behind the first God of War. He recently saw some video's at the Santa Monica studios and we all know how impressed he was. He also told us that the Spike VGA trailer was not what he saw. This turns out to be a little white lie. There is something in the trailer he saw. You can read his entire opinion about the trailer in the article.
Though Sony bandies about the usual dramatic claims of "jaw-dropping visuals," "epic battles," "stunning graphics," an "elaborate plot," "world-changing scenarios," "fluid, life-like characters" and "unmistakable realism" - along with a quadrupling of texture resolution and "depth of scope" - God of War III will still only be big enough for one inflated Spartan ego.
According to an official press release from SCEA, God of War 3 has 4 times the texture resolution of God of War 2. I know many of you were disappointed with GOW3 (thanks for the hype Jaffe) last night, but I personally wasn't. I was left stunned at seeing how fluid Kratos moved, and the sense of scale witnessed in Kratos' battle with the Cyclops.
According to Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA), God of War III will be the final chapter in the epic series from SCE Santa Monica Studios.
"A lot of e-mails and post are coming in, now more so because of the GOW3 trailer, and all of them are wondering why we're not coming back to post. This isn't a good bye or anything like that because we still want to keep the site open... We're making a transition here pretty quick with a new website layout and not a blog one. The shitty logo will be gone and replaced with a much better one and we're even going to be adding a forum we believe...
Hey guys and gals, just letting you know that the God of War 3 teaser trailer is now up on the PSN to download in HD goodness.
The 2008 SPIKE Video Game Awards have just wrapped and PS3 Attitude is here to give some quick impressions on the event.
Split-Screen writes: "Both are equipped with their own tweaks - GoW 3 with a second playable character and new game play mechanics, and Gears 3 with it's 5 player co-op. Both are summations of the most illustrious trilogies in next-gen gaming. Hell, both of them have the same initials.
Apparently, David Jaffe has seen the God of War 3 footage that Spike TV's Video Game Awards will be showing, and while he says that it's good, it's not what he saw a couple weeks back when he famously went off about how amazing it looked.
Gaming Front: "Gamers were astounded when it was announced that God of War III would make an appearance at this year's VGA. However, the excitement were short live when gamers around the world were unsure whether the trailer would comprise of CG or gameplay footage."
Sony didn't affirm clearly wether God Of War 3 would be released in 2009 or 2010, and many of the gamers still hope to see it in stores next year. However, thanks to imbd (Internet Movie DataBase), we can see in the Terrence 'T.C.' Carson page (the english voice actor of Kratos) that the game will have a 2010 release date! Could this be the first hint? Otherwise, the site will loose much of its credibility.
Kratos returns to battle with the meddling gods to ensure that in the end, there will only be chaos.

In a recent post on his blog, God of War I director David Jaffe comments on what's he's seen so far regarding God of War III. Ok, so he doesn't say EXACTLY what he's seen (NDA), but he does have some quite "colorful" comments to describe what he saw.
In attendance at the Sony Computer Entertainment Staff Annual Briefing held yesterday in London, an anonymous source going by the alias of 'Legends' has just tipped D+PAD off in all manner of huge PlayStation news.
PS3Fanboy writes:
This is the SECOND time G4's website has totally LIED about David Jaffe and his positions.
Eurogamer writes: "David Jaffe has said he is "happy" with the choice of Brett Ratner as director of the God of War film.
