Gamerzines, the site behind the free magazines for Xbox 360, PC games, PSP and DS, has launched its free PlayStation 3 magazine to co-incide with the UK launch of the console. As with other Gamerzines, the magazine is written by professional games journalists and offered for free in a digital format. All that is required is Adobe Reader 8 on a PC. The magazine is enhanced with videos and multimedia that play on the pages themselves.

Issue 1 is available for download immediately and covers every single European launch game, as well as lengthy preview feature highlighting their pick of the top 20 games still to come on the PS3 this year.

The magazine is to publish a new issue for free every month from launch, to match the other existing Gamerzines for other platforms.

December 1, 2006 - Today SEGA announced that Full Auto 2: Battlelines for the PS3 has officially gone gold, and is ready to be manufactured and distributed to stores across North America. The sequel to the Xbox 360 game developed by Pseudo Interactive, Full Auto 2 features fast cars outfitted with destructive weaponry.

In Full Auto 2: Battlelines, players are plunged into the middle of Meridian City as its once-pleasant districts are transformed by automotive destruction. The game features destructible environments and dynamically changing track conditions. Players can choose from over 25 vehicles, all of which are customizable with the game's 20 explosive weapons. The game also introduces a new Arena Mode featuring team play, as well as five different multiplayer modes including Gladiator, Cat & Mouse, and Base Assault.

Full Auto 2 for the PS3 is slated for release on December 12 of this year, and will retail for a suggested price of $59.95.
There might be nothing we like less about the console launch period than the 'sequel that isn't a sequel'. (Aside from hardware shortages, that is.) Just as Ridge Racer 7 is really Ridge Racer 6.5, Sega's upcoming Full Auto 2 looks like less a true sequel than an upgrade of the original Xbox 360 release. That matters less, of course, if you've never played ...

Despite previous plans to release Full Auto 2: Battlelines as a "day and date" launch title with the PlayStation 3, SEGA of America has retracted that notion and confirmed with IGN that it has pushed the game back by several weeks. Here's what the company's official spokesperson had to say:

"The release of Full Auto 2: Battlelines for the PS3 is on track for a holiday 2006 release," commented the SEGA's rep. "This highly anticipated award-winning combat racing title is setting the bar on the PS3 with an intense multiplayer mode that enables up to eight gamers to play head-to-head online. SEGA is targeting an early December ship date."
Other than what was stated above, SEGA didn't provide any additional particulars regarding Full Auto 2's release. Popular online retailers Gamestop and EB Games, however, list Battlelines as appearing on December 12.

Pseudo Interactive, the developers of the game, have taken licensed music and implemented it in such a way that each main rival that players battle against will have a dedicated song. Proving that a picture can say a thousand physics and particle-effect buzzwords, new screens of Full Auto 2: Battlelines, the PS3-only sequel to the Xbox 360-only original, have crashed on to our images tab.

It's hard to fault Battlelines for ticking all the expected videogame boxes - cars, guns, explosions - and then scribbling over the boxes with doodles of cars with guns, exploding. If there are subtle ways to show off the power of PS3, you won't find them here; it's ...
Full Auto 2, as we're fond of pointing out... finally makes sense. The last game was a bunch of shit blowing up in search of an idea; this one pits you against people online and suddenly it makes a heck of a lot more sense. Now, when you smash a stack of pipes and they crush your opponents - even in the single-player mode - you get the satisfaction.

Full Auto 2 has come a long way since the last time we played it about two months ago. The developers have tweaked the multiplayer modes we ...
The producer for PS3 launch title Full Auto 2: Battlelines has discussed PS3's still-mysterious online network, noting that Full Auto 2 will not be supporting achievements or stat-tracking over Sony's "I Can't Believe it's Not Xbox Live!"-style service.

Producer Mike Gallo revealed during an Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine podcast that stat tracking will be handled by Gamespy - which he seems to be more familiar with than the PlayStation Network itself.

Thursday 24 August 2006
Having careened off Xbox 360 on to PS3, the next entry in the Full Auto series - due at the end of the year - continues to finesse its selling point of blowing stuff up better than anyone else's driving game.

The four new shots in the images tab above demonstrate your ability to blast holes out of the city as well as your opponents, with the game said to have a greater focus on 'strategic destruction' than the original.

While we're not entirely sure that demolishing an ...
The original Full Auto arrived on Xbox 360 just six months ago, but the sequel is already being prepped in time for PlayStation 3's November launch. On 360, the game was kind of a mess - yes, it looked great and controlled well, but the fact that you were blowing the hell out of buildings didn't seem to have much, if anything, to do with the actual racing.

Well, that's the big fix for Full Auto 2. Now, when you bust up buildings, the debris can block the track, changing the landscape in ...
Full Auto 2: Battlelines, the PS3's first car-combat game, already looks like a marked improvement over its repetitive Xbox 360 predecessor. Sega's still keeping the single-player portion under wraps, but we've spent some time tearing around one of the eight-player deathmatch arenas, and it's explosive stuff.

Taking the focus off racing, Full Auto 2 let us pick from four cars - two muscle cars, a sleek (but extremely light) sports car and an SUV that carries extra armour - ...
Sega has released the first three shots of Full Auto 2: Battlelines, the second in its car combat series, which has switched allegiances from Xbox 360 and will now be exclusively for PlayStation 3.

The sequel will allow gamers the chance to get behind the wheel of 25 different vehicles ranging from SUV's to muscle cars, which can be customised with 20 different weapon types. From then on it's all-out carnage as each race can be won by strategically destroying the other ...
Full Auto seems to be doing well on the Xbox 360, but apparently not well enough, because Sega today announced that Full Auto 2: Battlelines is in development as a PlayStation 3 exclusive.

Like the original, Full Auto 2 will be a high-speed racing blastfest that lets you destroy and manipulate each track to your advantage. As before, there's a huge focus on causing as much devastation and mayhem as possible, and you'll be able to cut corners and crush competitors with a few well-placed ...
Without wanting to look smug, just as we predicted last week Full Auto is getting a sequel. But what we didn't predict was that Full Auto 2: Battlelines will be PS3 exclusive.

Publisher Sega has confirmed that the game will place greater emphasis on using the scenery to your advantage. That means firing rockets at vertical structures, darting underneath falling debris and leaving your opponents to pick their cars from the rubble. Sounds good.
