Formula 1 CE is the greatest F1 game ever, but one detail made it unplayable with a wheel: the lack of force feedback.

Finally Sony updated the game and gave it force feedback support! Driving simulator fans must get this game now, it's awesome like it should have been since day 1. Better late than never.

To update just connect to the internet and run the game.

Following the successful PlayStation 3 starter pack containing a ps3 console, Resistance Fall of Man, MotorStorm and two Sixaxis, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe intends to renew the experiment with a second Pack planned for September 19 at the cost of 599.99 euros. GamesRadar UK had been playing loads of PS3 since its European release last month (well, before that too) and that includes the almost-as-real-as-you-are Formula One: Championship Edition. Australians still haven't been told exactly when in March the PlayStation 3 is set to launch, but at least local gamers are beginning to get a firm idea of exactly what games can be expected. Sony Computer Entertainment Australia (SCEA) has now confirmed five of its titles will be there from the PS3's first day of sale, bringing the expected number of launch games to 17.

In a statement, SCEA confirmed Formula One Championship Edition, MotorStorm, Genji: Days of the Blade, Resistance: Fall of Man and Ridge Racer 7 would all be PS3 launch titles in Australia. No further details--such as a more specific launch date for the new console--were mentioned.

The Sony games join an expanding list of expected launch titles from other publishers, including Virtua Fighter 5 from Sega and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 from Ubisoft. The current list of Australian PS3 launch titles--gathered from each publisher's latest release schedules--is provided below.

New Famitsu rates - Prey on Xbox 360 scoring high (News)

Today some new ratings from the newest edition of the famous Japanese gamesmagazine Famitsu. Most remarkable is the review of Prey, that has been in stores for some time in U.S. and Europe now, but is new in Japan.

The game achieves high scores, with three times a eight and even one nine, having a total score of 33/40. (Famitsu always reviews with 4 different people) Do you still understand the people over there?

Formula One games are generally lumped with curling and rugby as "foreign junk." But if it looked as good as F1 Championship Edition did at a recent Sony event, we'd even gladly play "Tea-Time Simulator." Demos and trailers available as Sony enters next-gen market.

Sony has launched the PS3 online service, with access to the PlayStation Store where consumers can download the first batch of playable demos.
The service, Sony's equivalent to Microsoft's Xbox Live and Marketplace, can be accessed for free, and lets new PS3 owners set friends lists and send messages, as well as create an avatar.
A number of playable demos are available, including Resistance: Fall of Man, Motorstorm, NBA 07 and Formula One Championship Edition. Two full games are also available for US$ 7.99 (EUR 6.25), Cash Guns Chaos and Blast Factor...

PlayStation 3's Formula One 06 doesn't so much emphasize realism - it's obsessed with it. And not just visually, either. This set of new images looks amazing, but it's the gameplay touches that invoke the real Formula One atmosphere, from the fully licensed teams and tracks to the newly introduced rules for the 2006 season. There will even be a "parade" lap at the start of each race to warm up your tires, just like real-world F1 meetings. Formula One is not yet scheduled for release in the US ...

All but the first game were previously announced. Given its publisher (and title), the first game is likely a train simulation game of some form.

The remaining 8 titles are currently a mystery, so we encourage wild speculation.

Sony will also have a theater in its booth which will show video footage of a total of 35 titles. We presume there will be some overlap with the playable titles and the video-only titles, but Sony wasn't clear about the matter.
