In a recent interview, Square Enix's Yoshinori Kitase revealed that the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII has not effected development in any way. Speaking at GamesCom, Kitase said:

Square Enix was quite generous with their info at the recent GamesCom gathering, revealing not only a number of new game features, but a possible release date too. Among some of the new information revealed are the existence of two new female characters, Xbox 360 release info and an all new gameplay system known as "Paradigm Shift".

Joystiq: Klee Kuo, one of Square Enix's marketing Moogles, just dropped word that the English voice work for Final Fantasy XIII is complete. In fact, that isn't the only detail offered on the Twitter account. Kuo's also made sure to say how impressed he is with the new Summons (marketing, ho!) and how the game will incorporate a "unique level up system in FFXIII like Sphere Grid in FFX and License Board in FFXII."
Right now, there's only one way to get an early hands-on with Final Fantasy XIII: own the Japanese Blu-ray release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete. Heck, you can't even go to a gaming convention to get a proper hands-on!
VG247: Badaboom. FFXIII's PS3 and 360 versions will release simultaneopusly next spring in Europe, producer Yoshinori Kitase told VG247 at GamesCom today, calling the info the "new announcement".
