"Mark your calendars – this Thursday, November 26th, the next phase of the wildly popular Red Bull Island will be released in PlayStation Home. To complement the existing Red Bull Air Race World Championship mini-game, Red Bull will unleash two brand new spaces that will appeal to sports fans and beach bunnies alike. The first, an exhibition of action and adventure sports photographs from Red Bull Illume.

The winning photograph from each of the competition's ten categories is displayed on large illuminate cubes, imitating the real-life exhibit. The second is a Red Bull Flugtag mini-game where users can compete against one another by launching one of five wild flying machines off of a 30-foot high deck in hopes of achieving flight. Think: The Wright Brothers… or that time you and your genius buddies decided to pile into your wagon and take a ride off the roof."

Boxers Take EA's Corner In Fight Night Suit, As Others Oppose (News)

Fighters Inc., a licensing organization representing boxers, filed suit against Electronic Arts in early September this year, claiming that EA illegitimately used fighters' likenesses in the summer video game Fight Night Round 4.

Now, certain Fighters Inc. boxers have filed declarations with a California U.S. District Court supporting a preliminary injunction against the game. But some Fighters Inc. boxers who signed with EA and appeared in Fight Night Round 4 are in the publisher's corner.

Heavyweight fighter Shannon Briggs, Ring Super Bantamweight champ Israel Vazquez, and former boxer Aaron Pryor are among the fighters who signed a group licensing deal with plaintiff Fighters Inc., and who are siding with the group in its complaint against EA. Fighters Inc. says its goal is to "increase the respect, presence, marketing and earning power" of its boxers.

Fight Night Round 4 fans, a new update from the team today about the upcoming Champions Pack. The pack will contain 5 boxers: Oscar De La Hoya, the Klitchko brothers, along with new versions of George Foreman and James Toney. Initially, the cost of the pack was to be 800 MS points / $9.99 but after further review taking into account community reaction, the cost has been reduced to 480 MS points / $5.99. The Champions Pack will be made available for XBL Gold gamers on Aug 20th while XBL Silver and PSN gamers will see the pack on Aug 27th.

Like pwnordie.com, you may be wondering how the 'Golden Boy' Oscar De La Hoya made it onto the cover of Fight Night Round 3, appeared in commercials for Fight Night Round 4, yet was not in gameplay for the latter.

Well, due in late August, EA is releasing the first downloadable content pack for FNR4, with De La Hoya, Vitali Klitschko, Wladimir Klitschko, and alternate versions of George Foreman and James Toney. In addition to the boxer pack, EA will also be releasing a game update at the end of August. The update will include additional trunks, gloves and shorts, as well as a free button control scheme that will allow gamers to use face buttons on the Xbox 360 and PS3 game controllers to throw punches, hooks, uppercuts and haymakers.

As it stands, the only way to play Fight Night Round 4 is using the analogue sticks to swing punches. However, producer Brian Hayes says "there is no option for face button punching in the final version, but we are investigating providing the option via DLC."

If he means free DLC, that would be fine. If you ended up having to pay for the option to use button-mapped controls, it's exactly the sort of thing that will whip the internet into a frenzy and unleash their hatred EA's way. To say it wouldn't be the smartest of moves would be an understatement..."

With Game Face, you will be able to create a likeness of yourself right down to the most minute detail. Oh sure, we've seen blurry shaky-cam footage that in no way gives us the proper visuals to over-scrutinise and pick apart and that simply will not do. The world premiere of EA Sports' boxing franchise will hit during the Spike TV Video Game Awards next month. The "ultimate boxing match up" from EA Canada does have at least one thing going for it - the inclusion of video game boxing legend Mike Tyson. His style is impetuous! He wants to eat your children!

One of the games highlighted by EA Sports was their upcoming boxing title, Fight Night: Round 4, which showcased some of the first in-game footage seen of the title. According to N'Gai Croal on his blog, the big terms thrown out to describe the title revolved around physics-based boxing, something called "R.E.A.L.
