EA and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe today announced the new season of the FIFA Interactive World Cup, the world's only official FIFA global football gaming competition. The FIWC is a season-long tournament mirroring the real world of football in which competitors from all around the world can participate playing EA SPORTS FIFA 09 on the PLAYSTATION®3.
For all the football/soccer fans with an Xbox 360 or PS3, you'll get a chance to play the demo of Fifa '09, releasing later today on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network respectively.
EA scared some folks into thinking they canned the Club component from FIFA 09 but a press release today showed they have in fact kept the feature in both PS3 and Xbox 360 version.
EA Sports has released details on the new online mode for FIFA Soccer 09. The mode, Clubs 09 features the ability to join a user run club in order to field the best team possible in the 10v10 online mode Be a Pro.
