PS3 - Mega Man 9 - PS3 Network - The ultimate Mega Man retrospective

Since his introduction in 1987, Mega Man has starred in more than 100 video games spanning nearly every console and handheld in existence. After several hugely successful titles, Mega Man ceased to be a game character and became a part of pop culture, with countless references across all mediums and cameos in even more Capcom titles. ...

PS3 Feature | Mercenaries 2: World in Flames

A few days before the Aug. 31 release of Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, we received the following question from one of our forum posters:

Seems like an obvious answer, right? Of course the PS2 version, made for a console that’s been obsolete for three years, isn’t going to be as good as its current-gen cousins. That doesn’t mean it can’t be a good game on its own, though; after all, it’s ...

PS3 - Mercenaries 2: World in Flames - TalkRadar 17

TalkRadar welcomes its very first industry guest this week, Mr. Seth Killian of Capcom fame. He’s involved with all things community, primarily at the Capcom Unity blog and jaw-droppingly hardcore Evo tournaments. Far more interesting than that, however, are his tales of Street Fighter hustling at arcades, infiltrating E3 and harassing the company enough to finally give him a job. See kids, you too can live the dream. ...

PS3 Feature | Mercenaries 2: World in Flames

In the weeks that followed the release of Grand Theft Auto IV, most of its high-profile competitors - including Prototype and Saints Row 2 - had their release dates hastily and conspicuously pushed back to fall or later. Most of them, that is, except for Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. After a number of pre-GTA IV delays, the free-roaming soldier-of-fortune simulator is sticking to its August release date, with no sissy retreat in ...

PS3 Feature | Mercenaries 2: World in Flames
At first glance Mercenaries 2 reminded us of a lot of other games; Just Cause, Crackdown or even (surprise, surprise) Mercs 1. But once we jumped into the carnage on Xbox Live, we discovered it's taken the best elements of the above to create possibly the next great free-roaming co-op game. The Venezuelan environment is a proper (cough, cough) playground of destruction, with choppers, tanks, petrol tankers and more at hand to send entire skyscrapers shaking to the ground, and you can do it all ...

PS3 Feature | Metal Gear Online

With Final Fantasy XIII going multi-platform and Haze ending up a sad, broken mess, Metal Gear Solid 4 is starting to look like the last blockbuster third-party exclusive the PlayStation 3 has in its arsenal. And although it looks set to stay that way - as publisher Konami has repeatedly reaffirmed that the game will stay PS3-exclusive - rumors keep cropping up that the game will eventually head to the Xbox 360.

Whatever your thoughts ...

PS3 Feature | Metal Gear Solid
Sept 13 2007 Christian Bale is "tipped to play Solid Snake" in a forthcoming film version of Metal Gear Solid, according to Nuts, the UK's weekly tits-and-giggles mag. Sound like a good fit? We're convinced of his credentials, but who else could challenge Bale's bid to star as the bandana-wearing operative? We've drawn up a handful of likely lads, and judged them on the only attributes that matter when assuming the role of Metal Gear's leading man. If you've got different ideas, though, get ...

PS3 Feature | Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

There are several sure-fire ways to check for heroic DNA in a video game character. An addiction to wearing tank tops (the more torn the better). Crew cuts so kempt you could grate cheese on their craniums. But the one thing sewn into the heart of every true hero’s genetic makeup is an unwavering talent for saving the girl.

Above: Not a hero (we’re assuming the racoon’s a chick)

Sure, it might be a bit sexist, ...
