With E3 2011 just over the horizon, we started this week with a list of 7 games we’d absolutely love to see at E3. Today, however, as our desperate planning comes to a close and the show really starts to breathe down our collective necks, our minds are wandering to some pretty dark places.
Yes, E3 is a fantastic showcase for games we can’t wait to see, but that’s not all there is to it. Some of the worst (or at least most memorably awful) experiences we’ve had with the industry have come out of past E3, and a lot of them were games that should never have seen the light of day. With that in mind, here are a few games we really hope don’t make it this year...

Who knew that 1947 Los Angeles was such a dangerous place? Thankfully Cole Phelps is here to, not only clean up the streets, but also nab you some achievements and trophies along the way. But in just a few weeks, all that hustle and bustle will fade away, and all that breaking news will be replaced by even newer headlines. The cutting edge reports, the reveal trailers, all of it will be commonplace and old.

This action-platformer will task you to navigate through five dangerous levels as you pick up the skills required to stop the Sisters from escaping their seal. This isn’t going to be easy and you’re going to need to learn how to use the energy shifting mechanic to take down those that in between you and your destiny.
With E3 in June, it’ll be a great month for getting excited about down-the-line games. It’s also a ridiculous time for current games, with oodles of top-notch-lookin’ high profile games hitting store shelves and digital distributors. For the adventurous type, June has a handful of games that could go either way, and a couple underdogs that a few folks will no doubt fall for. We hope you’re done with Portal 2, LA Noire, Motorstorm Apocalypse and whatever else you’ve got left from earlier this year—it’s time to move on to one of the busiest videogame summers since the infamously prosperous year of 1874...
