Deep within your brain, there’s a little lobe that desperately wants you to act like a nine year-old. This little lobe is in control every time you queue up The Princess Bride on Netflix or decide to buy a candy bar to reward yourself for a trip to the dentist. In that lobe, there’s also a little box with all your favorite moments from the original Star Wars or Indiana Jones or Batman movies, along with your memories of building

Apple announced its iPad thingumawhatsit this week, and if everything falls into place, it should revolutionize the way you interact with books, magazines, and spreadsheets the same way the company did with music and movies. Which led to the inevitable question: What existing products will Apple make rounded, glossy, and proprietary next?!
Yesterday, we brought you the details of three and a half missions we undertook in our first hands-on with Red Dead Redemption. However, while slaughtering criminals, would-be rapists and hapless miners as outlaw-turned-bounty hunter John Marston was impressive, it was far from the most ambitious thing the game attempts.
Imagine you're a hot shot game developer. Maybe a sexy lady one that is helplessly attracted to thirty-something video game journalists. You've spent the last three years pouring your heart and soul into a brand new game. It's received with critical and commercial success. It's high-fives all round. But when the back-slapping is done, you realise that you're expected to do it all again for a sequel. Only problem is, you've used all your best

Since the wraps finally came off Apple’s iPad, the buzz on the internets has reached a deafening fever pitch, as everyone from MacLife to Engadget to the Huffington Post to… well, us has scrambled to make known their reactions to this touchscreen-driven piece of shiny new tech.
The wait finally is over. At last, the Apple tablet everyone’s been talking about has been officially revealed. Is the iPad for work? Is it for play? Yes and yes. But is there anything to be truly excited about in terms of gaming? Maybe. Our inner cynic is telling us that the iPad is just an over-priced piece of hardware designed to prey on the masses of Apple-loving sheeple
We’ve managed to shore up our right flank with a set of howitzers, but they’re being harassed by fighter-bombers coming over the river. We’re running low on provisions and our reconnaissance vehicles have just caught sight of a bucketload of unidentified enemy units massing on the other side of that ridge.
We’ve been desperate to get to grips with Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption since the first time we watched John Marston ride into town. And finally, we’ve been handed the reins to give this superb looking cowboy game a go.
We were given a demo of one mission but by Rockstar but were handed the pad to try out two others. There was also time for us to do a heck of a lot of off-mission stuff too, which we’ll bring
