The downloadable PSN version of 360 racer Fatal Inertia will be out on PSN next week in Europe, July 15, developer Koei has confirmed.

The PS3's downloadable version of a 360 racer that came out a year ago will be out on PSN June 19, developer Koei has confirmed.
Fatal Inertia is a bit like Star Wars pod racing through rocky canyons, only with magnet guns and lots of framerate issues. It didn't exactly set the world on fire on Xbox 360, but it looked okay and based on these new screenshots, EX will look even better.

Speaking to VideoGamer.com, a Koei UK spokesperson has debunked rumours that the recently revealed Fatal Inertia EX - a PSN revamp of the 2007 Xbox 360 racing title - will be heading to Xbox LIVE Arcade. Fatal Inertia EX is only going to be released on PS3 via the PlayStation network, said the Koei rep. Fatal Inertia EX is scheduled for release on the PlayStation 3's PSN in May priced $29.99.

Prospects of a PS3 release were temporarily wipEd out after Koei delayed it indefinitely due to Unreal Engine 3 issues. The mention of Fatal Inertia EX for PS3 may signal an end to these issues and hint at the arrival of an updated, possibly more EXTREME version of Koei's non-dynastic hoverfest.
