PS3 News | Fallout 3
Fallout 3 - the post-apocalyptic RPG from Oblivion creator, Bethesda - has the soupiest, most splattery gore that we've seen since Gears of War. A well-placed bullet scatters dome debris like pebbledash, with eyeballs and bits of brain identifiable amongst the pile of post-headshot sticky bits. Have a look at the chunks flying in the image below to see what we mean. But don't expect this atomic role-player to be anything like the heavy-booted Xbox 360 shooter - the similarities start and ... » Read More

PS3 - Fallout 3 - Fallout 3 uncovered - New details Further information on Bethseda's RPG Fallout 3 has emerged in this month's 360-gamer mag.

This month's 360-Gamer mag has revealed further details and the extent of the violence within the game, which apparently is so blatant that it's hilarious to watch. One scene they describe sees you shooting a mutant in the head and then watching his 'severed eye' roll across the floor! There's also mention of many frantic shoot-outs with mutants.

Fallout 3 is aiming to bring us closer than ever to our characters, through an innovative attribute-selecting experience. Instead of navigating a series of menus and options, we'll be living out the crucial moments of our vault-dwelling avatar - literally his formative years. During these experiences you'll interact with your ol' dad, played by Liam Neeson. And by undergoing your early years, the character you eventually end up with will feel far more familiar, and intrinsically yours, than ... » Read More

Friday 29 June 2007 Fallout 3 will offer first-person and an over-the-shoulder (think Resi 4) viewpoints, and will feature an innovative and probably fan-pleasing targeting mode that mixes real time action with stop-time decision making. When faced with enemies, you'll be able to pause the action and take aim. Perhaps you'll blast the nearest guy's hand so he can't quickdraw his pistol, then cap another enemy in the bonce before sending a few shots at a distant target to force them behind ... » Read More

PS3 News | Fallout 3
Fallout 3 will hit PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in the autumn next year, Bethesda has finally revealed, and below we've got the first ever video of this long-awaited RPG sequel. Excactly what Bethesda plans to do with the adored series is unclear. Many fans expect an Oblivion-style FPS, and just as many are disgusted by this idea. What fans can't complain about, though, is the traditional atmosphere - Bethesda has clearly retained the amazingly atmosphere and character of previous Fallout games. At ... » Read More
