Fallout Wiki managed to get access to all of the court filings regarding the Bethesda v. Interplay court case over the rightst to the Fallout franchise, and it turns out that both parties have been presenting untrue statements to the judge.
Original Fallout IP owner and current licensee Interplay has filed a counterclaim accusing current Fallout owner Bethesda for breach of contract, claiming that Interplay's own Fallout MMO has a playable demo -- indicating production status -- and that Bethesda tried to grant Fallout MMO rights to sister company ZeniMax Online.

An Interplay stockholder details the countersuit filed by Interplay against Bethesda in reaction to Bethesda's lawsuit over the rights to Fallout Online and the original Fallout games. Interplay argues Bethesda is in breach of contract abd the contract to sell the rights to the series to Bethesda is null and void and Interplay owns the franchise again.
Joystiq writes: "A couple of threads over at Bethesda Softwork's forums reveal that Canadian PS3 owners are having a problem getting their previous Capital Wasteland save files to be recognized by the newly released Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition. Speculation by forum posters about the cause of the issue seems to revolve around either improper/outdated patching or that the GOTY edition isn't compatible with a version of the game sold in the region."

Drakortha Productions has released the first five episodes of 'DC Chronicles', an apparent ongoing series made in Fallout 3. Inspired by the original Fallout, the story thus far follows Andrew Grafton, a vault native who has crossed over onto the surface in search of a precious water chip for his home.
Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford has said that the studio's upcoming action RPG Borderlands will be "less boring" than Fallout 3, in an interview in the latest issue of OXM.

VG247: Bethesda's just confirmed that Broken Steel will release for the PS3 version of Fallout 3 on September 24.
1.6.1 patch for the PlayStation 3 version of Fallout 3 has just been released, which probably means that the Broken Steel DLC will finally be released on the Sony platform soon, most likely tomorrow.
