Best Buy Co. Inc. this week discounted select titles for Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 to under $10 in a new game sale.
The NPD Group has confirmed that EA's Facebreaker sold just 52,000 units in September across the Xbox 360 and PS3 combined. A Wii version called FaceBreaker K.O. Party is expected to launch in November.
Facebreaker, an arcade-style boxing game from EA SPORTS Freestyle, will be hitting stores shelves this week and will feature an eclectic mix of music from top artists.

The bodacious Kim Kardashian makes an apperance in EA Sport's cartoony boxing game, Facebreaker. The celebutant, known from her reality TV show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians (and a well-publicized sex tape), shows off the game's Photo Game Face mode, which allows anyone to scan their faces into the game using an Xbox Live Vision cam or the PlayStation Eye and then stick it on a customizable avatar. DarkZero: The Xbox 360 demo will be available on Thursday July 31st and the PS3 version will be arriving a week later on August 7th. No reason was given for the weeks delay on Sony's console.
Speaking to VideoGamer.com at a press event taking place at EA's UK headquarters in Guildford, EA has confirmed that a demo of Facebreaker for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will arrive on July 31.
Buttonmasher writes, "While previewing Face Breaker at the EA booth it was mentioned that Peter Moore's face had been scanned and entered into the game using the boxer editor. The face, which is creepily accurate, can be attached to any of the bodies and manipulated. Peter asserts that he suits a more chiseled look but the demonstration featured him as a blue monkey."

Looks like EA is trying to re-invent their sports arcade franchises and dropping their previous brand of EA BIG and making EA SPORTS Freestyle instead. NBA Street, SSX Tricky and NFL Street were staples in the EA BIG stables, but it looks as though EA wants to change up their image and go with a different name.

Early Saturday morning 2/9 the first trailer for EA Sports recently announced boxing game Facebreaker will premiere on Gametrailers TV which airs at 1am on Spike.
Surfer Girl is back with her latest rumors. Among other things she reveals the release dates for Guitar Hero Aerosmith, Guitar Hero IV, Guitar Hero On Tour, Facebreaker and fl0w PSP. She says that Sony will be launching a greatest hits line for PS3. She also talks about two cancelled games from THQ, and more.
