Uncharted sequel location revealed by treasure map?

Robinson Crusoe Island, a village in Thailand and Oak Island could be the setting for Drakes next treasure hunt

Words: James Jarvis

Robinson Crusoe Island
Where: Fiji, South Pacific
Status: Believed discovered

Famous as the setting for the book Robinson Crusoe - is believed to be home to a treasure hoard worth 13 billion USD. The haul is said to consist of 600 barrels of gold, several papal rings and innumerable jewels. A salvage company claims to have discovered its location in 2005, using a sonar-equipped robot - but negotiations as to ownership of the treasure are said to be delaying excavation.

Could it be a game?

Is certainly has an air of mystery surrounding it, and as Uncharted’s previous story revolved around Sir Frances Drake it wouldn’t be much of a change to focus on another, albeit fictional, recognisable character. The climbing mechanics and environmental effects from the previous title could be used to great effect. And the sense of scale you’d get seeing the character clamber up a massive mountain with waves crashing below would be incredible. The only downside being that by the time the game is released the treasure may have already been removed.

Above: The setting looks right but Robinson Crusoe Island, and the tresure, has already been discovered
