The obscure Street Fighter game guide

Think you've played every Street Fighter? Find out about the rare gems you missed

Words: Tyler Nagata, GamesRadar US

At first glance, Perfect KO sounds only mildly interesting. It’s a free-to-play online fighting game. The graphics are decent and the gameplay feels like a mix between 3D fighters like Virtua Fighter and beat ‘em ups like Urban Reign. You can customize your character and play the expected 1 vs. 1 match against other players. However, Perfect KO’s main draw is its 3 vs. 3 player matches. The action is chaotic and quite fun, with players smashing each other across destructible levels.

But it was the announcement that Chun-Li and Ken would be playable characters that piqued most fighting fans’ interest. This bit of info worked liked catnip on us too and made us want to try out Perfect KO as soon as possible.

In order to download and play Perfect KO, you’ll need an account from Pmang.com. Good luck with that. You need to be a Korean citizen to register. Babbelfish and shady registration guides won’t help you much when you get to the fields that ask for identification. In the meantime, if you can’t legitimately sign up for an account, you can at least admire Perfect KO’s homepage by clicking here.

No pocket fighter? Or is that game more well known than I think?

I loved Pocket Fighter (aka Super Gem Fighter Mini-Mix). It was a great game. But Pocket Fighter made its way to US arcades and was available on the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology on PS2.

And as a stand-alone PSone game. God, I loved Pocket Fighter. Also, these licensing issues suck, I really wanna play TvC!

I am more excited for TSvsCapcom than SF4. It has a lot of my favorite character ever and just looks like a lot of fun.
