How to get 40 Trophies in 60 minutes

The most efficient way to whore it up on the PS3

Words: PSM3 UK

For many of us, try as we might to feign indifference, there’s a nagging desire that we secure at least a respectable number of Trophies. So for smarter, time-deprived gamers, we’ve devised this quick-fix guide to scoring a respectable 40 Trophies in around an hour. Onwards, with dignity!

Burnout Paradise
Time: 15 minutes | Number of Trophies: 7 | Trophy count: 7

And we’re off. The pristine, sun-kissed streets of Paradise City is where our Trophy hunt begins and, although each metal mug is quite easy to collect on its own, it’s a bit trickier to amass all seven in a tight fifteen minutes. Our advice? Check your map regularly.

Repair your car – Bronze: An easy one to start off. Simply drive through an auto repair for that magic metallic pot. The nearest repair shop is located in Angus Wharf, just a few hundred yards from your starting point.

Perform 3 Takedowns – Bronze: That insipid DJ Atomika making your blood boil? Vent a little fury by barging three opponents into traffic or scenery. The best place to get this Trophy is the Lighthouse Rock Road Rage event.

Power Park your car – Bronze: Find two cars parked closely together – most roads will have them – approach them at about 30° and use the handbrake to swing yourself behind the first car just after you pass it. Come to a stop without hitting either vehicle for the Trophy.

Drive on the wrong side of the road for 547 yards – Bronze: Do your best Police, Camera, Action impression by driving through oncoming traffic for 547 yards in one go. This is a relatively simple task if you choose a quiet street.

Invite a friend to join you in Paradise City – Bronze: Got your PS3 online? Have at least one mate? Now combine the two for a Trophy treat. Simply send your friend an online game invite for the reward.

Win a race – Bronze: Come first in any offline race event. We suggest the one located at Sunset Valley that finishes at the Lone Stallion Ranch. But any of the early races are pretty forgiving to amateurs.

Visit a Gas Station during a Race – Bronze: During the race for the previous Trophy, keep your eyes peeled for a Gas Station icon as you drive. You don’t have to win the race to get this Trophy so you could even take your time.

WipEout HD
Time:  15-20  minutes | Number of Trophies: 4 | Trophy count: 11

Tired? Pah.The second leg of our Trophy sprint requires even higher speed and intensity. There’s little time to drool over the immaculate HD hovercraft, though. And the key to succeeding is to know which event and track to choose for maximum Trophies in a single sitting.

Happy Accident? – Bronze: Execute your first successful barrel roll for the Trophy. You can do this in your first race if you choose the speed lap on Anulpha Pass. There’s a raised ramp on the right, after the last corner. Just as you drive off the end of it press left, right, left to barrel roll. Beat the gold medal time and take a picture in photo mode after the race, to nab three Trophies in a single event.

Smile Please – Bronze: Make your TV and Trophy collection sing by taking a picture of the action in Photo Mode. Save the snap to your hard drive and the Trophy is yours, all yours.

Rookie Reward – Bronze: It might be like a humiliating take on stabilisers from a child’s bike, but win a race using Pilot Assist and the Trophy should sooth your shame. The first race on Vireta K is the perfect venue.

1 Gold Medal won, 86 to go… – Bronze: Kill two birds with one stone by winning the race with Pilot Assist on and claiming the previous Trophy too.

Wow, you must feel so proud. You left a comment without actually commenting on the article. I guess your life is complete and you can die happy now, right?

Seriously, can Gamesradar do something about these jackasses?

Anyway...

Nice handy dandy guide for all the whores out there. Although, you could add about 6 more to the Burnout Paradise section, for crashing through 10 gates, 3 billboards, 180ยบ flatspin, a barrelroll, visit a paint shop, get on a motorcycle and set the day/night cycle to 2 minutes.

Actually I'm sure he isn't jealous... the "Ferst!!11lolol" posters would be automatically moderated if they tried that shit on any other site. Since reporting them doesn't seem to work, it's just easier to ignore these morons and move on.

@ VinilSliding
Hahaha not even close :P

There are a lot of other easy trophies to get in LBP by playing some of the trophy whore levels. Incedible speed, Incredible hight, high score and so on. It takes just a few more minutes.

Thanks for the article, I knew about the Warhawk ones but the WipeOut ones were very helpful, i.e. "Smile Please".

Hey quick question if u already have a lot of in-game trophies in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune will those transfer into PS3 trophies?
soccernaruto57  - 10 months 29 days ago
@ kered no you have to start all over. Yea I know its stupid.

Thanks for the article even though i kind of knew some.
Kered  - 10 months 28 days ago
@ soccernaruto57 thanks that was confusing the heck out of me.

That was cool. A good way to get easy trophies is to just play and beat Mirror's Edge. That was fun.

Wow, so now we're gunna get the phrase "Tropy Whore"...
That's good, I think, because bored middle-aged men NEED a Trophy Whore, so that they can be seen as cheating on their Trophy Wife.

A informative but misleading story,
should have called it "how to get 40 trophies in 175 minutes" because to get all listed trophies within the minimum times you suggest, thats how long it would take.

There is an easy trophy article with different games in the new issue of PTOM. And it actually deters the whores from wasting their time with games such as Burnout and Wipeout.
