The news that Shadow of the Colossus is being turned into a movie – penned by the scribe behind Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li – has made us inconsolable. With the translation from hell about to mangle Sony’s ethereal adventure beyond recognition, all bets are off over what Hollywood’s going to do with videogame properties next. Steven Seagal in Shadow of the Colossus would be amazing. It would make for every colossi to have its weakpoint right on the neck, so it would be for him to snap.

Seriously, though, I'm not worried. The problem is these director's just aren't gamers. They actors aren't gamers. They don't understand games, and when they twist them, it bombs. But they are getting better. Kinda. But it doesn't help that critics do have a bias against the game-movies.
