Some members of Gamed.nl, one of dutch biggest gaming site's have reported that Eternal Sonata may be coming to US and Europe after all.
The reason for this is the List of PLAYSTATION 3 games compatible with DUALSHOCK 3 Wireless Controller in Europe.
With Eternal Sonata clearly in the list.

More than a year has passed since the game's release on the Xbox 360 in Japan, but the developers have apparently used this time to make significant changes to the game. As previously reported, two new playable characters, a new quest and the option to change a character's outfit had already been confirmed to be part of the PlayStation 3 release's feature set. Siliconera writes: "Last year Namco Bandai revealed Trusty Bell: Chopin no Yume (aka Eternal Sonata) would get a PlayStation 3 port with extra content. We don't know if it's coming to North America. We're not even sure when Japan will play with Prince Crescendo in combat. It might be soon, though. Play-Asia just posted a September 18 release date for the Asian version. A few weeks ago Play-Asia leaked Afrika's release date so this could be real. On the other hand, Trusty Bell: Chopin no Yume won't come out until September 18, 2009 in Japan.

The game will also feature new playable characters. Crescendo and Serenade, who played a major role in the 360 version's storyline but were not playable, will now be able to take part in battle. Crescendo makes use of a mace and shield. Serenade is all about her heart-shaped staff. She's such a girl!

Those who love the game's characters will want to pay attention to this next bit. Bandai Namco is also working a costume system that will allow you to freely change your characters' costumes. Accompanying this is an increase in costume variations.

Namco Bandai may have jumped the gun a bit in announcing Eternal Sonata for the PS3, but IGN weren't quite ready to consider the game confirmed as multiplatform until hearing comment directly from its parent company across the Pacific. That confirmation came today.

The PS3 version of Eternal Sonata, operating under its Japanese title of Trusty Bell Chopan no Yume, will be appearing at Bandai Namco's Tokyo Game Show booth next week, the company announced today through its Tokyo Game Show special site. The game will be shown in video-only form. A Japanese release is planned for some time in 2008.

Ace Combat 6 heading to PS3 with Beautiful Katamari, Eternal Sonata? (News)

According to an interview at the French website Jeux Video, (see the first alternative source below,) the producer of Ace Combat 6 has revealed the possibility of a PS3 version of the air simulation game.

In addition, earlier the official site for Beautiful Katamari listed PlayStation 3 and Wii versions as "TBD" ("To Be Determined,") The website has since then been updated, and the PS3 and Wii listing removed after being spotted and reported.

In a similar fashion, Eternal Sonata (aka Trusty Bell in Japan) is also listed as "TBD" for PlayStation 3 -- but interestingly, no Wii. The unintentional listing has also been discovered and removed.

Altogether which seem to be an interesting coincidence. 1UP speculates that Beautiful Katamari and Eternal Sonata will be announced at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2007, (i.e., the second alternative source below.)

"Oh Bandai Namco. You're such fibbers! It was only a month ago that you were saying you were "not aware" of a PS3 version of Eternal Sonata. Not aware? Someone is, because the game's official listing on the company's site now has the game listed as a PlayStation 3 game. No release date, but it's right there under "platforms". PlayStation 3. Could be a typo, but then, we're only a week and a bit away from TGS. Could also be announced there."

The Japanese box for Eternal Sonata (AKA Trusty Bell) doesn't have an "ONLY ON XBOX 360" stamp on it. Thus, the game should be treated as such."
