The first details have emerged on the pre-release demo of Devil May Cry 4... though we don't have a clue when or where it's going to hit.
The ten minute demo is a mish-mash of portions from Devil May Cry 4's story; including cut-up sections from Fortuna city as well as a bit from that icy level we've seen a thousand screenshots of.
Excitingly a boss character called Berial is also said to feature. Oh Capcom, you're spoiling us!

"Could a Devil May Cry 4 demo be coming to the Xbox360 and Playstation 3 in December? Two days ago JeuxFrance.com reported that a demo would be coming out exclusively for the Xbox360, since this was the only console mentioned in the latest issue of Famitsu. However, a known Capcom representative has posted on the Capcom forums stating that this is untrue."

There were rumors that the Blu-ray release of Resident Evil Extinction would include playable demos of Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry 4. Capcom shot down the rumor today via the Capcom Unity Blog.
From the blog: "Some reports are saying that the disc will contain "two video game demos (for Devil May cry 4 and Resident Evil 5). This is unfortunately incorrect: the disc actually has hi-def trailers for both of those games, not actual playable code."

Sony will update the Sony Firmware so that its Blu-ray player can read Blu-ray Profile 1.1 discs in time for the USA release of Resident Evil Extinction on the 2nd of January 2008. The Blu-ray movie is expected to be the most advanced blu-ray disc it will feature true picture in picture and 'Blu-Wizard 2' which will allow your player to 'remember' your viewing preferences for the movie, even after you have ejected it.
The movie will also feature PlayStation 3 demos of Devil May Cry 4 and the new Resident Evil game.

Good news tin fans - Capcom sends word that a three-disc Devil May Cry 4 Collector's Edition will be in the shops in time for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 releases.
This $79.99 (£38) edition comes complete with a documentary-packed bonus DVD and the first volume of the Devil May Cry animated series (four episodes, apparently) which we're concerned might suck, but who knows. Capcom blatantly knows we haven't had to deal with 40MB worth of screenshots in a while, so it's slapped a colossal collection of Devil May Cry screens into our inbox big enough to take up most of our afternoon in the uploading process. Thanks, Capcom.

Timed perfectly to make up for Metal Gear Solid's delay to the second quarter 2008, the latest issue of Famitsu reveals that Capcom will be filling in the gap with Devil May Cry 4. Previously without a finalized date, the multiplatform face off with Dante and Nero will hit Japan on 1/31/2008 at a price point of 7990 yen.
Those who buy early will get a special DVD, which will ship in Dante and Nero versions. There's no word on the fate of this collector's item outside of Japan.

Devil May Cry 4 is just gorgeous. Really, watch the trailer and see - it's a glossy, smooth and slick actioner that, visually at least, is the very definition of what a hi-def videogame should be.
