BlastMagazine: Demon's Souls is scheduled for a massive release this Tuesday and the PS3-exclusive role-playing-game isn't the niche market type endeavor publisher Atlus is used to operating.

For this reason some shipping issues have occurred and some lucky souls (maybe you!) have the game in their hands today, one entire day before the game's official release date. This all seems well and good right? Not so much.

What this means is if you scored yourself an early copy, the first thing you'll notice when you pop the disc into your PS3 is a horrific PSN error message that'll mandate offline play. And that's no good because we've heard all about how bloodstained and helpful the online play will be.

JPS Reports: "Demon's Souls is indeed one of the most challenging action RPGs to release this generation. It's also one of the few RPGs to have full English in it's overseas version, so of course it has been popular amongst the importers too anxious to wait for the North American release. The crafty importers have found an exploit within the game that gives them infinite soul points, which can be used to level up your character.

I decided to try it out and see if the exploit worked in the North American version. However it seems that Atlus has patched the game, and thus destroyed this exploit. Good luck finding a new way to beat the system cheaters..."

As promised earlier this week by Atlus, pre-orders for the Demon's Souls Deluxe Edition are now available online. PlayStation 3 gamers are in for an RPG treat with Demon's Souls, and Atlus Spoils makes the deal sweeter for you. The Deluxe Edition includes a 150+ page strategy guide, collectible outer slipcase and artbook.

The Demon's Souls Deluxe Edition (and regular edition) will be released October 6th.

No plans to publish Demon's Souls in Europe at present (News)

Eurogamer.net says: "Atlus has announced a 6th October release for excellent and exclusive PS3 role-playing game Demon's Souls in the US. But its European whereabouts are uncertain.

"We have no plans to publish it in Europe at present," Sony - which published the game in Japan - told Eurogamer.

Similarly Tecmo KOEI, which brought Atlus series Shin Megami Tensei to Europe, told us there are "no plans" to do the same with Demon's Souls.

Of From Software's previous games, Xbox 360 exclusive Ninja Blade was delivered by Microsoft and Armored Core for Answer was a Ubisoft title.

We spoke to a Ubisoft rep who was "not aware of any plans" for the company to publish Demon's Souls here.
