You read that right. The game hasn't even been out for a couple of weeks yet and they're already talking about sequels. EA Redwood Shores Studio GM Glenn Schofield came out in an interview with Variety about the title's performance and it's upcoming sequel. Well, he brings it up in passing. He is, of course, discussing a possible Dead Space film...
OK, so after the credits roll, you get a big stack of unlocked gear, logs, and other goodies. The two most gameplay-relevant ones are the level 6 "military" suit--better than anything available the first time you play through the game--and 50,000 credits to spend at the store. Would help soften the challenge of the "impossible" difficulty level that also unlocks, no?
Slashgamer Writes: "General manager Glenn Schofield, might have slipped some info about a new Dead Space game already in the works. During the interview he was talking about the possibly of a movie sometime in the future and how they would want the story to gap the two games,"
"For Dead Space gamers, the story of how Ishimura's crew are wiped out after an alien artifact is brought on board and subsequently turned into the very creatures that killed them plays perfectly into the game's introduction. The film's somber final note ends at the precise moment the game begins with the nightmare of many transferred to the life of one. "
Console Monster reveals EA have warned parents about the content in Dead Space.
dailygamesnews.com - We mentioned earlier October was going to be a killer month for videogame releases, this is what's going out this week across Europe...
Ripten reports that Variety have recently interviewed EA games label president Frank Gibeau and Dead Space executive producer Glenn Schofield, who revealed that there are sequels in the works for some of EA's biggest games. Gibeau stated that there is a "sequel idea planned" for Army of Two and a Battlefield: Bad Company. We can only hope that the sequel for Army of Two is called "Army of TwoTwo (TuTu)". Also mentioned was that a sequel to Dead Space, EA's recently released horror shooter, was already in the works, and that ideas for a Dead Space movie were in the pipeline as well.

Eager horror fans who just picked up Dead Space will find a couple extra goodies of the non-scary kind when they pop the disc into their system. At least on the PS3 version, you get two Blu-ray Disc icons under the Game XMB -- one for Dead Space of course, but surprisingly also one for EA Demos.
