Not sure many of you played Dark Sector when it came out almost 3 years ago, it didnt necessarily set the video game world on fireGamespot rated it a 7.5 and had this to say about it, Dark Sector lacks the compelling storyline that it alludes to early on, but offers plenty of enjoyable combat nonetheless.

PS3 Fanboy writes: It's another catch-up week this week, as the US finally gets its hands on Civilization Revolution and Asia is given Dark Sector and Kane & Lynch (though probably wishes it wasn't.) Europe is barren this week and the only new release of the bunch probably won't appeal to many people, unless you really love your Olympics. Here's the full release list: US Games: Civilization Revolution Beijing Olympics 2008 EU Games: No new releases Asian Games: Dark Sector Kane & Lynch

PalGN reports: It's never good to be the bearer of bad news, so often the case when words like 'OFLC' and 'videogames' make it into the same article. Therefore, it's a good change to bring the news that Dark Sector, refused classification by the OFLC (Australian Office of Film and Literature Classification) in February has now been re-rated and awarded an MA15+ classification. The game was originally considered by the OFLC to be too strong for our shores, as a violent and sometimes gruesome game with a sinister storyline and ominous outcome. The violence and aggression inflicted upon the protagonist is of a high level, naturalistic and not stylised at all. Unfazed, Dark Sector's local distributor, AFA Interactive, confirmed in April that an altered version of the game, based on the Japanese release was being prepped for another shot at classification.

So far since the launch of the new PS Store, European has seen it's fair share of good quality updates. Certainly, the situation appears to be much better than before and SCEE seem to be coming good on their promise that they would 'sort the situation out' by the Summer. It would be a shame, therefore, to see a lacklustre update this week, wouldn't it?
