God of War meets Dead Space in Hell. That’s how we first described Dante’s Inferno and it wouldn’t be risking the wrath of Hell to suggest that’s how EA’s infernal epic looks now.
However, reducing the game to comparisons no longer does it justice.
Before the Tokyo Game Show opened up to the public, EA unveiled the new Lust level from Dante’s Inferno. This unseen area focuses on Dante’s ascent through a dark tower to battle Cleopatra. She’s the boss of the level and one of the many damned figures depicted in the original epic poem. No, that’s not what we wish upon you, dear reader. Instead, grand publisher EA wants you to spend time in the worst of afterlives. Incidentally, Hell is where their next big action game takes place, titled Dante’s Inferno and yes, it is based upon Dante’s epic poem The Divine Comedy.
