Publisher moves as a sign of respect. Codemasters has confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz it has pulled a major advertising campaign for the PlayStation 3 version of Colin McRae: DIRT. The publisher has cancelled the TV campaign as a sign of respect following McRae's death last weekend. With consideration to and in agreement with McRae's family, there was a stop put on the TV ads that were planned to run on Sky channels at the weekend and through this week, said a spokesperson for Codemasters.

Sept 17, 2007 Racing legend Colin McRae, his son, and two family friends died in a helicopter crash on Saturday, September 15, when it went down near McRae's family home. There seems to finally be an update on the EU Playstation Network, although a day later than usual. Don't get too excited there. As of time of writing the update includes: Colin McRae: Dirt (Demo) Jed Ashforth Interview (Video) All the Kings Men (Blu-ray Trailer) As you have noticed there isn't even a sign of the latest Heavenly Sword video's, so hopefully I've caught it in the middle of an update.

Codemasters Europe announced Colin Mcrae on the PlayStation will be released in a special steelbook edition. It is yet unknown if this steelbook-version will include some kind of bonus materials and also the price of this special steelbook edition is still unknown.
