In an interview with GamePro, Eat Sleep Play co-founders David Jaffe and Scott Campbell say that a hint to the studio's next game is hidden in Twisted Metal: Head On. In an interview with GamePro, Jaffe explained: Listen, if you want to know what our next game is, it's absolutely revealed if you have a sharp eye in Twisted Metal Head On: Extreme Edition. It's hidden really, really, really well. And just because it's hidden in Twisted Metal doesn't mean it has anything to do with Twisted Metal. That's why it's so well hidden. It's a really cryptic riddle we put in there. Jaffe and Campbell also sounded off on several other topics, including: God of War 3's development, those one standardized console comments, Calling All Cars, Eat Sleep Play's design focus.

During Sony's press conference at the Leipzig Game Convention, the boss of Sony Europe David Reeve detailed sales numbers on a handful of key PSN titles. Leading the pack was Tekken 5 with 103k sold, followed up by flOw with 47k sold. The really interesting thing though is that Super Rub-a-dub outsold Calling all Cars!, 34k to 31k. It's pretty bad when David Jaffe's baby can't even outsell one of the worst reviewed titles on the PSN.

David Jaffe's (the bloke that did God of War) PSN multiplayer riot Calling All Cars will soon be available for transfer and play on the PSP, reveals the latest issue of PSP - The Official Guidebook. Unfortunately no-one at Sony's UK office was available to answer CVG's PSP-related queries, but the official PSP mag says we should expect comprehensive multiplayer modes in both Ad Hoc and Infrastructure, plus word on a firm release date soon.

The newest issue of the British magazine EDGE is in stores as of today and its always interesting to see which games were reviewed and what scores they got. This month some interesting titles have been reviewed, such as: Blue Dragon, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Transformers and GRAW2 for the PS3. Apparently EDGE didn't really like Transformers and Hour of Victory as both games got 2/10 from EDGE. The British don't really like Blue Dragon and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 as well as both games 'only' got 6/10. Zelda: Phantom Hourglass did really well as it scored 9/10. Check out all of this months reviewscores below. Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (NDS, Nintendo): 9 Blue Dragon (Xbox 360, Microsoft): 6 Transformers (Xbox 360/PS3/Wii/PS2, Activision): 2 Odin Sphere (PS2, Atlus): 6 Ouendan 2 (NDS, Nintendo): 8 Monster Madness (Xbox 360, Southpeak): 5 Exit 2 (PSP, Taito): 7 Hour of Victory (Xbox 360, Midway): 2 Tenchu Z (Xbox 360, From Software): 6 Calling all cars (PS3, Sony): 6 Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (PS3, Ubisoft): 6 More Brain Training (NDS, Nintendo): 7 Anno 1701 (NDS, Disney): 8

Sony UK have today revealed a few new dates for the latest offerings bound for the PS3 Store, with MotorStorm's freely downloadable 'Time Attack' mode set for release this Friday - June 15th. As well as ushering in a new way to play the game, the online update also delivers a number of tweaks and enhancements, bolstering stability and the interface to boot. Then there's Calling All Cars!, which is due out on Friday June 22nd, and will cost 4.99 GBP or 7.99 Euro. David Jaffe's latest is something of a departure from the world of Greek Gods and war, instead charging the player with racing around the streets, rounding up the low-lifes en masse. Super Stardust HD is the last new arrival confirmed by the Big S, arriving (again on a Friday) come June 29th. An Asteroids-esque puzzle-blaster thing is order of the day - and from the HD in the title you can derive that while the gameplay may be retrograde the visuals certainly won't be. More on all this soon.

This is one of those games that makes you wonder why more games aren't good; it all looks so easy. Calling All Cars will be the title that will make your friends jealous of your PlayStation 3, and with the simple mechanics and inviting feel this is a game anyone can jump into and enjoy.

The outspoken game designer David Jaffe has decided to take a break from blogging. Well the last few posts have caused more of a stir than I had hoped. One day I will learn my lesson: that people don't read the whole post, hell people don't tend to read the post at all, but rather a truncated version of the post posted on another website with just the part of the post that is inflamitory enough to get the haters in a tizzy and get hits on the site(s) in question. But that's ok; I mean, it's the net right? You take the good with the bad; and I've had a hell of a lot of good from it and for that- as well as for the bad- I am grateful. But for the time being, I'm going to go dark. My stylings have upset some folks within the biz I care very much about and that I can not live with. For me, it's always been silly, stupid fun...you know, giving what I get, talking like alot of folks on geeky message boards do, trash talking, etc. But I guess some folks have taken it to heart and that's not cool for me. End of the day, even the folks who spew much venom my way, I probably would like very much in real life. As I've said before, we're all geeks and if you can't get along with a fellow geek, then what's the point. Anyway, so CAC is coming out...soon? I dunno. It's done, so I'm just waiting now for the official word. I'm sure you'll see the press release when Sony lets it out. But I will be playing online for sure, so hope to see you guys in the game!

According to a post David Jaffe left on the NeoGAF forums the title has been delayed for an unspecified time. Hey guys...Sony was kinda annoyed that I claimed 5/3 as release date as it was never official. The game got kicked out of format as two very key bugs were found at the last second. Fixing those allowed us time to go back in and fix the issue (or what we think is the issue) that IGN had with the magnet. We are back in format q/a at the moment and we'd all be stunned if it did not sail thru...but we've learned to keep our mouths shut on it so as to not get people's hopes up and then let them down. The two big bugs tho- so you realize we didn't hold it up for no reason- were: a- About 30% of the time if the host of a network game quit to the XMB or powered off his PS3, the other folks in the game would experience a hang/crash when going back to the game lobby. This was way too frequent for a crash bug and we wanted it fixed. b- If players were doing voice chat and one player unplugged his head set and quit out of the game, when he tried to jump into a new game, about 50% of the time the player would be able to play the game but no one could hear him over voice chat. I hope you will agree these bugs were worth ironing out. Granted, they should have been bugs that were squashed 2 months ago, but for whatever reason, they were not. So we had to do it now. I was trying to find a way to make it up to those who care about our game and I think what we are going to do is like the first 50 or so people who find me online and can beat me, get a free CALLING ALL CARS bobble head figure. Is that lame? Not sure. But we'll prob. do it. Cause we really do feel really, really bad. Sorry. David

Calling All Cars is set to hit the US PlayStation Store not this week, but on May 3rd. Straight from the mouth of Jaffe himself, Game (Calling All Cars) is NOT OUT TOMORROW. It is out May 3rd. I am very sorry about this but we're still in format, chasing a few bugs and we don't want the game out until it's bug free. But it WILL be out 5/3! I will let you guys know when it clears format.

Having taken advantage of the openings made available by user generated content, a number of talented young developers are turning their backs on mainstream gaming in a bid to broaden the scope of the industry. Flow co-creator Jenova Chen believes that games need to offer an emotional outlet often lacking in popular genres such as shooters and racing games. Right now video games are focused on releasing anger and stress...that's really limited. If you want a deeper understanding of life, you aren't going to get it from a video game.

David Jaffe was interviewed on Episode 2 of the Insomniac podcast The Full Moon Show. Jaffe is in charge of the development of Calling All Cars and most recently directed development God of War II after doing so well with the original God of War. During the podcast interview he talks about how much he has enjoyed working on a small project like Calling All Cars and also mentions why Calling All Cars has been delayed from its original March release window. It turns out that during their extensive playtesting, they found that sometimes games would be blowouts where one player would get a very high score and pull way ahead.

Perhaps one of the most eagerly anticipated downloadable titles coming to the PlayStation Network is Calling All Cars, David Jaffe's zany cartoon action game. IGN managed to get hands on play with the title at GDC, and were impressed by how easy it was to pick up and play. It was apparent that Calling All Cars was one of those games that would create a lot of hectic multiplayer fun, and we couldn't wait to get our hands on it later this month. Looks like we'll have to wait a bit later than we'd hoped. Calling All Cars won't be making its way to the PSN in March; instead, the EDI title will be released in mid-April. No official statement was available from Sony as to the new date for the game.
