If history is any indication, the beta should be coming out VERY soon. The COD4 PC demo was released on 10/12/2007 and the full game shipped on 11/6/2007.

A little over a week ago we leaked a rumored list of perks for Call of Duty: World at War. We can now confirm that the list was in fact 100% accurate, with perks such as Juggernaut, Martyrdom, and Sleight of Hand making a return. The latest issue of CVG Presents is all about Call of Duty and our print brother has scooped a bunch of new details related to World at War's multiplayer.

The magazine also confirms that co-op gameplay will be given a competitive spin with a points-scoring system for kills, and 'Death Cards' in the co-op mode unlocks more modes and features in the game.

It will support 18 players, just like the previous game, and will pack new grenades including, Gas bombs, signal flares, bouncing betties and sticky grenades.

Eurogamer (i.e. us) has announced a host of new games (i.e. five) that will be playable at next month's Eurogamer Expo.

Sorry PS3 gamers, but according to Treyarch and the people at Activision, the upcoming online multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: World at War will be for Xbox 360 and PC owners only.

For those of you who remember, Infinity Ward pulled a similar move last year by hosting the Call of Duty 4 beta only on the Xbox 360. After speaking with a Activision representative, I was told that the reasoning behind doing an Xbox 360 and PC beta was primarily due to increased server and connectivity data.

Treyarch has revealed details about the Call of Duty: World at War Limited Collector's Edition, due to ship alongside the game when it launches on November 14th.

The Limited Collector's Edition comes packaged in a metal storage tin big enough to store multiple games in. So if you were ever looking for a solution to transporting all of your Call of Duty's together, here it is.

The only other physical item included with the limited edition is a branded steel canteen. The other bonuses are all digital items to use in game, including the powerful FG 42 Machine Gun being unlocked from day one, a VIP status tag for use in the online multiplayer modes, and an exclusive double experience week.

So far we've only seen shots of the Xbox 360 and PC Limited Collector's Editions, so it's unclear as to whether it'll be available on other platforms.

Activision has released a 3D screenshot of Call of Duty: World at War, and it's looking hot.

The 3D screens gives us a good look at the game's flamethrower, allowing you to rotate 360 degrees around the scene of an allied soldier setting a bunker alight.
