PS3 - Burnout Paradise - Burnout Paradise demo: PS3 version shinier, Xbox 360 has rumble GamePro's Blake Snow writes about the release of the Burnout Paradise demo on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360:

Available now at the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace, the Paradise demo features three playable levels including three-person online play.

We downloaded and compared both versions side-by-side this afternoon, and after a cursory inspection, here's what we know. The PS3 version looks shinier. The Xbox 360 version has rumble. So its pretty much a wash.

More impressive, however, is the games fresh take on the genre. There are no game menus; a voice tutorial helpfully leads the way. It can take a while to get your bearings before running jumps, turning tricks, and winning races, but Paradise show promise in one of the meatiest demos released this year.

PS3 News | Burnout Paradise
Played the Burnout Paradise demo yet? Stupidly good, isn't it? Since we got hold of the Xbox Live preview we've been having an almost illegally good time discovering the new delights of Paradise City. It's been a non-stop orgy of melting tarmac, leaping off carpark roofs, barrell-rolling across beaches and handbrake turning into parking spaces at 100 miles per hour. What's got us extra excited about the demo though is something entirely unrelated to Burnout. While it was great to discover that ... » Read More

PS3 News | Burnout Paradise
Dec 5, 2007 Criterion and EA are giving Burnout fans an early Christmas present; a Burnout Paradise demo arriving on either PS3 or Xbox 360 (or both!) next week. The demo's imminent arrival was signaled by a countdown timer on the developer's official website, set for Thursday, December 13 - a regular PlayStation Store update date. You'd assume then that at least PS3 owners won't have to wait longer to give the crash-em-up a spin. Going by the free-roaming nature of Paradise, we reckon the ... » Read More

Sept 7, 2007 The latest shots of Burnout Paradise, the fifth title in the racer-come-smash-em-up series due to be released for 360 and PS3 later this year, have just skidded onto our screens, and they look incredible. Our hands-on earlier this year, proved to us that the crashes will be the cause of more than a few heart-stopping moments, and you can imagine the carnage that would ensue after these turbo-charged gas-guzzlers smash into a wall at over 100mph. Wednesday 11 July 2007 There's one game that excites us more than any other at this year's E3. And, perhaps surprisingly, that game is Burnout Paradise, the open-world chassis-busting racer from excite-o-maestro developer Criterion. This fresh footage should have you feeling the same way.
