The Exploding Barrel's own Mark Fujii reports live from PAX 2008 that Gearbox Software is making an interesting proposition to attendees: Shave your head, get a free copy of Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. Apparently, shaving isn't the only thing Gearbox's PR team had in mind in order to hype their upcoming WW2-themed tactical shooter.
Gamestop is known for always splitting deals with companies providing bonus with several releases. These bonus can usually range from branded swag to closed beta keys. Gamestop has recently cut a deal with Ubisoft, and by pre-ordering the upcoming title Brother In Arms: Hell's Highway at Gamestop you will receive a promotional code that will grant you access to two exclusive models that can be used in the multiplayer portion.

During a live interview today, Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford confirmed that a demo for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway is almost certain, although a PC demo is less likely to make it through.
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, the third entry in the series, has you reprise the heroic role of Sergeant Matt Baker, a soldier of the 101st Airborne Division, during Operation Market Garden in the late stages of World War II. Originally scheduled for Aug. 26, Gearbox confirmed that the game won't appear on store shelves until Sept. 23. A Ltd. Edition includes a SGT Matt Baker figurine with 13 accessories, a the first issue of the BiA comic Book (with bonus content) and a Poster Map of Operation Market Garden.

Publisher Ubisoft today confirmed that Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on August 26.
