Arc System Works Europe and PQube have today announced that the forthcoming BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend, currently in development for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita (PS Viat) and Xbox 360, will include the original Calamity Trigger storyline, making this latest release the complete BlazBlue story to date. This re-telling of the original story will include new and remastered scenes for both existing fans and to help introduce new players to the BlazBlue universe.

2D fighter BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger may have been out for a while (a long while for US readers), but European publisher Zen United is still doing a damn fine job of pushing the game hard. Arc System Works Europe development director Tomo Ohno has revealed to IncGamers that 2D fighter BlazBlue's characters were originally developed and animated in 3D.

A limited edition version of 2D fighter BlazBlue will be released on PS3 and Xbox 360 in Europe next month - alongside the standard game.


One of the most intriguing fighters that has graced this generation of consoles is, BlazBlue. Already winning over fighting fans in North America, it's looking to do the same in Europe. The fighter's official box art and a new trailer have been released.
