KOEI not planning a Bladestorm follow-up (News)

KOEI has told Eurogamer there are no existing plans for a sequel to Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War.

The publisher was speaking after announcing Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2, the original of which launched alongside Bladestorm - also on Xbox 360 and PS3 - last November.

In Bladestorm, rather than control and fight as one character, entire squads of period fighters such as pikemen or royal knights or musketeers or archers could be captained into huge skirmishes, a bit like Total War on speed.

Oct. 2, 2007 KOEI sends word that a demo of its historical slasher Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' war will hit Xbox Live and PlayStation Network this Thursday, ahead of its retail release in November. In a group interview with the producers of Koei's Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War where they told the group that the company's first racing game wouldn't make the November Japanese launch. Citing problems with the Unreal Engine 3.0, the group was actively working to remedy their development delays to ship the former launch title before the end of '06.
