PS3 - BioShock - Rumor Control: Bioshock For PS3 (Spring 2008?) The Tengu Restaurant was the site of lively conversation tonight, and like any lively conversation, there are some bits that are worth repeating

PSU learned while talking to developers at the dinner that Bioshock, the game that won the 2007 Game Critics Award for Best Action game, will be coming to the PS3 sometime in the near future.

There was positive discussion almost to the point of confirmation that this title would hit for the PlayStation 3 next spring. While there have been various sources since X06 that claimed a PS3 version was in development, it would seem not a question of whether it's true at this point, but when it will happen. Despite PSU's confidence in the integrity of their information however, PSU must emphasize that this is still a rumor, and Take Two has not officially confirmed this with us yet.

LittleBigPlanet
Madden NFL 08
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Third place was the PC (with 4 votes), and tied for fourth was both the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. Oddly enough, the PSP was last...not even getting one game on the list this year!

PS3 - BioShock - GameTrailers: E3 Game Awards (Part-02) Yesterday's openly salvo of GameTrailers.com's "E3 Business & Media Summit Awards" offered up nominations and winners across various categories, such as Best Racer, Best Action Adventure, Best PSP Game, and Best DS Game. And, to be honest, the winners and loses didn't really throw up many surprises.

However, today's second round of E3 Awards coverage may well stoke the fires of fervent fanboy fanaticism. And why?

Oh, because the Best First-Person Shooter category does not include nominations for Halo 3 and Killzone 2, because Sony comes under fire on various fronts in terms of Most Disappointing, and neither Mass Effect nor Assassin's Creed is given a nomination nod for Best Graphics ¿ while a revamped PC port of Gears of War certainly is.

PS3 - BioShock - Bioshock Could Be Headed To PS3 According to the Official PlayStation Magazine UK, Bioshock is in development for the Sony PlayStation 3 console.

The magazine states many times that the game is in development even though the thought up until now was that the game is going to be an exclusive for the Xbox 360 console.

The magazine mentions that the exclusivity of Bioshock is only a timed-exclusive for Microsoft. This means that the game will be an exclusive on the Xbox 360 but for just a short period of time. It will then be released by 2K Games on all next-generation consoles, meaning the PS3.

PS3 - BioShock - Rumour: BioShock A Lock For PS3 Irrational Games' sci-fi RPG shooter looks like it may be making its way to the PLAYSTATION 3, according to the all things PlayStation blog ThreeSpeech. In today's update on upcoming PS3 software, author Steve Boxer namechecks BioShock as one of the console's "promised future delights." So... confirmed? I stand behind a firm "maybe."

The game is still listed as only appearing on the Xbox 360 and PC at 2K Games' BioShock page and the title has been called an "Xbox 360 exclusive" in the past, a claim the official Xbox site does not make for the game. We'll keep our digits crossed in hopes that ThreeSpeech knows what they're talking about.

UPDATE: 2K reps just contacted Kotaku to let us know "BioShock is exclusive to Xbox360 and PC Games for Windows."

However, 2K recently reconfirmed that Bioshock was indeed still Xbox 360 and PC exclusive. 2K stated that OPM UK is referring to one of their old press release from May at E3 2006, when they didn't provide specific platforms Bioshock would appear on.
