505 Games is today pleased to confirm further details of the online and multiplayer features of the forthcoming action title Armored Core 4 on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

505 Games announced today that they'll be bringing the European version of Armored core 4 to the PlayStation 3 on the 27th of April 2007. Armored Core 4 is the latest title in the historic mech-battling action and simulation saga, and is the first 'next-generation' incarnation of the internationally beloved franchise. Armored Core 4 players in Japan (and, presumably, importers who live outside of Japan) have until March 1 to get their rusty mechs polished for the Armored Core Championship Battle 2007.
Movement is incredibly smooth and fast as is targeting and shooting. The Mechs have a kind of sticky auto-targeting that really works well in most situations I've been presented with so far.
Today some new ratings from the newest edition of the famous Japanese gamesmagazine Famitsu. Most remarkable is the review of Prey, that has been in stores for some time in U.S. and Europe now, but is new in Japan.
From Software announced today a slight delay in the release of one of the PS3's few December titles over in Japan. Originally scheduled for release on 12/14, Armored Core 4 will now arrive a week later, on 12/21.
SEGA today revealed some of their new releasedates. Virtua Tennis 3, the big competitor of Top Spin 2 on the Xbox 360, will be in U.S. stores on March 23th. Armored Core 4 will release in march as well, also for both PS3 and Xbox 360.
The Japanese launch date of Armored Core 4, From Software's upcoming mech title, has been set as the 14th of December, according to an announcement made by the game development company. An exact release date has yet to be set for other regions, although it has been estimated as the Spring of 2006.
While it has been known for some time that the fourth installment in From Software's Armored Core franchise will be appearing on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the timing of its release in Japan was unclear. However, an update posted today on the game's official Web site says the PlayStation 3 version of Armored Core 4 will hit shelves in Japan on December 14, about a month after the PS3 itself.
German game site www.gameguide.nl posted today the ultimate list of 160 game tittles in production for the ps3.
I got some hands on time with Sega and From Software's Armored Core 4 which made two things very clear: playtesting games without having any idea what the controls are makes for a frustrating experience and that the game likes to lock up the PlayStation 3 a lot.
When the PlayStation 3 goes on sale in Japan November 11, six games will definitely be available: Genji: Days of the Blade, Mah-Jong Fight Club Online, Mobile Suit Gundam: Target In Sight, Resistance: Fall of Man, Sega Golf Club featuring the Miyazato Family, and--wait for it--Ridge Racer 7. Sony also confirmed Armored Core 4 would arrive sometime in November.
