The reason? The reality of this story is too funny and abominably ludicrous for me to be able to add anything to it.

The mainstream British media, always ready to tell us that gamers can't tell in-game action from reality, has mistaken in-game action for reality, using footage from Arma II to illustrate a story about a Provisional IRA attack on a British helicopter in 1988. 21 years before Arma II was released. After a day spent discussing and playing rival soldier sim ArmA II at Bohemia Interactive Studios’ forest-hemmed Czech HQ, it’s tempting to answer: who cares? Almost two years on from the release of the excellent (once patched and modded) ArmA, BIS are well on the way to completing a sequel that’s bigger, smarter, and more realistic.
