X-Men: The Official Game

Three strikes and you're out

As the modern consoles begin to drift into obscurity, games like this are about all you can look forward to. With some rather noteworthy exceptions, this is one of the bigger releases coming out this summer. Sigh. You could probably leech out a weekend's worth of so-so gaming, and at 30 bucks, you'll still have plenty of cash to check out the upcoming film. It's bound to be more exciting than this.

You'll love
  • Nightcrawler levels are cool-ish
  • Movie voice actors make an effort
  • Ragdoll physics earn a smile or two
You'll hate
  • Everything, after two hours
  • How interesting this could have been
  • Slideshow cutscenes are mega cheese
