Midway has put out a press release today to announce that TNA iMPACT began shipping to stores this week for XBOX 360, Playstation 3 & Playstation 2 and is expected to be available in stores by the end of the week with the Wii version set to ship to retail outlets next week. Midway Games Inc., a leading interactive entertainment software publisher and developer, today announced that TNA iMPACT! began shipping to stores this week for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system. The game is expected to be available in stores by the end of the week, with a Wii version expected to ship to retail outlets next week.

Eurogamer have revealed that TNA Impact will be getting downloadable wrestlers soon after launch.

Speaking to the site at a press launch, Canadian TNA wrestler Petey Williams said that this would also include downloadable wrestlers.

One has to wonder what happenned to including all of the wrestlers in the game to begin with, however that's the way things seem to be going these days.

TNA Impact! is due for release this September.

Via Gamespot: "Wrestling fans have a few extra months to brace for TNA iMPACT!, as Midway today announced that its debut title with the wrestling league's license won't launch until September.
