Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09 features Club Tuner which gives gamers the opportunity to calibrate their clubs to fit their personal tendencies and preferences. Players can test and customize their driver, fairway woods, irons and wedges. If the gamer doesn't want to invest a lot of time customizing their clubs, their performance coach Hank Haney, can also provide recommendations on the optimal settings for each of their clubs.

Players will be able to tweak the sliders on five club attributes: power, workability, loft, spin and bias, therefore allowing the gamer to maximize their equipment for various types of conditions or courses.
