The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon will be coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PlayStation 2 and DS this autumn. PS3/360 shots right here.

Both Elijah Wood and Gary Oldman will return to voice Spyro and mentor Ignitus respectively, and the pair will also be joined by Christina Ricci and Mark Hamill. Our childhood hero and adolescent fantasy girl together at last! Sweet!

Dubbed the last chapter in the Spyro trilogy, players find the titular character teaming up with old foe Cynder to defeat the Dark Master.

The game brings two new elements to the franchise. Spyro can now fly at any time and players can drop-in/drop-out using a new co-operative feature that gives player 2 control of Cynder. Not sure if this will work on the DS version, but the screens look good at least.
