EA has released a trailer and fresh details about its Superman Returns game, which will accompany the summer release of the Warner Bros. film.
The trailer has Superman battling the evil Metallo in the streets of Metropolis, which will comprise 80 virtual squares miles of bustling fictional city, including over 1,000 buildings. Electronic Arts has unveiled a single supershot of Superman Returns, the superhero action game based on the Man of Steel's return to the big screen.
The film Superman Returns is being directed by Bryan Singer, who did a superb job of bringing the X-Men to the big screen. The story sees Superman returning from self-imposed exile to find that Lois Lane, the love of his life, has moved on, while old foe Lex Luthor is up to his old Metropolis-threatening tricks.

EA has released two more shots of Superman Returns, the videogame of the forthcoming superhero film which will be out this summer.
The shots have Superman attempting to protect Metropolis from the attentions of a skyscraper-tall robot. The lanky mech is Metallo, a giant robot with a Kryptonite heart.
