PS2 - Star Wars: Force Unleashed - LucasArts confirms: No multiplayer for PS3/360 Force Unleashed Phil Meza reports: "Star Wars The Force Unleashed, LucasArts' first current-gen adventure in the post - Hayden Christensen saga, has been slowly lifting its curtain over the past few months as we've gotten word on a release date and more. The Wii version's Duel Mode has been getting its fair shar of press lately, and the PSP/DS's wi-fi play is sure to notice soon; but the multiplayer component for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions (which was confirmed nearly a year ago), has been on media blackout."

PS2 News from N4G | Star Wars: Force Unleashed
PS2 - Star Wars: Force Unleashed - LucasArts: 'We're not shutting the door on PC' LucasArts is "not shutting the door on PC", despite the lack of a PC version of upcoming Star Wars game The Force Unleashed.

Speaking in an interview with VideoGamer.com last week, Cameron Suey, producer of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of The Force Unleashed, said that LucasArts wasn't doing a PC version of one of the most anticipated Star Wars games in years because of the vast differences in power of PCs in people's homes.

He said: "The PC being the gaming platform that it is, someone with a $4,000 high-end system would definitely be able to play the Euphoria, the DMM and really technical elements of the game. But someone with a low-end PC would have a watered down experience, they would have to turn all the settings down and it wouldn't be the same game.

"That said we're definitely not out of the PC market. It's just with our choice for this game, with the known quantity for the consoles, and every console is the same with the same processing power, it made sense for us to develop for those consoles."

Speaking at a Star Wars: The Force Unleashed event in London last week, Cameron Suey, the producer in charge of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, admitted that some Star Wars games "probably weren't up to the quality bar that we would have liked" but that LucasArts was now focused on telling "singular, excellent Star Wars stories with engaging and innovative gameplay and cutting edge technology".

PS2 - Star Wars: Force Unleashed - The Force Unleashed the 'greatest' Star Wars game ever Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is the "greatest" Star Wars game ever made, according to the game's producer.

Speaking to VideoGamer.com at an Activision/LucasArts event in London last week, Cameron Suey, the producer in charge of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, said that in his opinion The Force Unleashed, which sees you play Darth Vader's previously unknown secret apprentice in an adventure that takes place in between the two movie trilogies, has the greatest story of any Star Wars game.

"You know what, I'll say it, it's for me, and greatest applies to value judgement and opinion, it's definitely the greatest Star Wars game. I'm of course biased!" said Suey.

PS2 News | Star Wars: Force Unleashed
When it comes to the Star Wars universe, Haden Blackman is the most knowledgeable man alive (outside of George Lucas, of course). At one point in his career, he was the guy in charge of continuity across every single piece of Star Wars product in existence. Now, LucasArts has tapped his veritable font of wisdom and lore by making him the project lead for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, which takes place during the tumultuous-but-unexplored years between Episodes III and IV. Star Wars: Force Unleashed is a fantastic idea. Forget all the morality bumf, the good-or-bad dilemma. Let's just get busy with the Force Lightning, Force Choke and Force grab a humoungous Star Destroyer from the sky and smash it into the ground for fun. Like in this new trailer. While the beginning is clearly not gameplay, the actual in-game antics still stand up well. It's a bit like Jedi Knight - one of, if not the best Star Wars games ever made. If LucasArts can create a fluid, ... » Read More
