The fans either want a port/remake or a completely new sequel to the Outbreak series. There's a multitude of links to petitions and even avatar and signature images to help promote the cause further. Resident Evil 5 was all about partners and teamwork but a modern Outbreak would be fantastic. Something along the lines of a more serious and scary Left 4 Dead would be great. Kotaku claims to have spoken with insider sources at Nintendo, who attribute the lost exclusivity of Resident Evil 4 to Nintendo reconsidering the inclusion of Capcom characters in Brawl. RE4 was originally meant to be exclusive to the Gamecube, but concerns over sales led Capcom to release the title on PS2, and later on PC, with additional content.

News was going around that there may be a Resident Evil Collection in the works for the PS2. This does seem to be true. This is set to release on 9/4/2007. The Resident Evil Bundle Pack includes: Resident Evil 4, Code Veronica and Outbreak.
