Videogamer reports that Konami has announced that it will be reissuing PES 2008 as a budget title for Xbox 360 and PS2 on May 16. Originally released in October 2007, new budget reissues will see the Xbox 360 version retailing at the lower price of £24.99 and the PS2 edition dropping to £19.99. Gamers thinking of picking up the game for PS3 at a cheaper price are out of luck though, with no confirmed price drop. Videogamer is sure it will happen at some point though.

Konami has coughed up some details on the portable versions of PES 2008, which is being worked on by Konami's football studio in Tokyo.
The PSP game will share a lot of content with the existing PlayStation 2 game (and not the broken bits of the PS3 version) such as a wide range of tournaments and leagues.
Full Edit modes are also in there and Master League info can be swapped between the PSP and PlayStation 2 versions, as can League, World Tour and Cup Mode data.

LOVEFiLM, Europe's number one online DVD rental service, expects Assassin's Creed to top sales and rentals this holiday season. Assassins Creed will definitely be up there; our audience have already heavily pre-ordered this and the sure scale of the experience is very cinematic, so will prove popular amongst film fans, Chris Bird, head of marketing services for LOVEFiLM, told GamesIndustry.biz. Kane and Lynch will also do well, as will Call of Duty 4. FIFA 08 and PES will also be 'must buy' for anyone getting a new console over Christmas.
