PS2 - Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 - Xbox 360 and PS2 get cheaper PES 2008 - No sign of a cheaper re-issue for PS3 Videogamer reports that Konami has announced that it will be reissuing PES 2008 as a budget title for Xbox 360 and PS2 on May 16.

Originally released in October 2007, new budget reissues will see the Xbox 360 version retailing at the lower price of £24.99 and the PS2 edition dropping to £19.99.

Gamers thinking of picking up the game for PS3 at a cheaper price are out of luck though, with no confirmed price drop. Videogamer is sure it will happen at some point though.

PS2 - Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 - Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 Goes Platinum Gamershell is reporting that Sony Computer Entertainment today announced that Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 for the PlayStation 2 will be released in Europe as a Platinum title on April 24th. This Platinum version will be priced just 20EUR. Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 features a proprietary adaptive AI system entitled Teamvision, a sophisticated AI programming that learns and adapts according to an individual's style of play.

PS2 - Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 - Winning Eleven is No More Today Konami confirmed to IGN that the franchise formerly titled Winning Eleven Soccer in the United States will now be known as Pro Evolution Soccer 2008. This in no way affects the title in Europe where it will stay known as Pro Evolution Soccer.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 is scheduled to ship on March 11, 2008.

Dec 13, 2007 Konami has coughed up some details on the portable versions of PES 2008, which is being worked on by Konami's football studio in Tokyo. The PSP game will share a lot of content with the existing PlayStation 2 game (and not the broken bits of the PS3 version) such as a wide range of tournaments and leagues. PS2 - Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 - LOVEFiLM expects Creed to top its game rentals, sales LOVEFiLM, Europe's number one online DVD rental service, expects Assassin's Creed to top sales and rentals this holiday season.

"Assassins Creed will definitely be up there; our audience have already heavily pre-ordered this and the sure scale of the experience is very cinematic, so will prove popular amongst film fans," Chris Bird, head of marketing services for LOVEFiLM, told GamesIndustry.biz.

"Kane and Lynch will also do well, as will Call of Duty 4. FIFA 08 and PES will also be 'must buy' for anyone getting a new console over Christmas."

PS2 - Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 - Call of Duty 4 storms German, Spanish charts The latest videogame sales data released for Germany and Spain shows Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare making a strong debut.

In Germany, Activision's first-person shooter captured the top three spots, with the PC version at number one, followed by the Xbox 360 version and the PS3 version in at number three

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was slightly less popular in Spain, but still managed to capture three of the top ten spots. The PS3 version debuted at number three, followed by the Xbox 360 version at number four and the PC version at number eight.

PS2 - Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 - PES 2008 to be playable in August, all versions to be the same According to French gaming website Jeux-Video, a number of details were revealed regarding Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 during the IDEF event in Cannes, France. Konami expects a playable version of the soccer sim to be available on August 22nd which will most likely be making an apperance at the Leipzig event. Konami also noted that the Japanese version should be identical to the European version and there should be no technical differences between the PS3 and Xbox 360 incarnations.
