The Persona 4 video game series is being adapted as a stage play next year, it has been announced. The production will be titled VISUALIVE Persona 4 and will star Japanese actor Baba Toru as the protagonist of the story.
GameSnark writes: Last year the Shigenori Soejima Artworks book was published in Japan. Now, thanks to multiple goat sacrifices and the ravaging of virgins, the same book is being translated and brought over to the UK. Available to preorder from Amazon for an October release date the book covers the period from 2004 to 2010 when Shigenori Soejima was Character Designer and Art Director for Persona 3 and Persona 4.

In a rare audio interview at Japanese games site, Biglobe Games, Persona 4 director, Katsura Hashino, along with character designer Shigenori Soejima, chatted at length about the creation of Atluss PlayStation 2 swan song. The questions the two were asked were by fans on Twitter.
This year the third annual Persona music concert, held in Tokyo by Aniplex Records, attracted several hundred enthusiasts of Atlus games. It marked the first time the organizers chose to take the show on the road, hitting Osaka and Nagoya before ending the tour's brief run at the SHIBUYA-AX auditorium. Twenty-five rock and fusion pieces from the Persona RPG series were performed by sound producer Shoji Meguro, vocalists Yumi Kawamura and Shihoco Hirata, among other artists.

Kotaku: Katsura Hashino's last two previous credits were as director and producer of PS2 role-playing games Persona 3 and Persona 4. In a recent interview with Japanese magazine Dengeki PlayStation, Hashino stated, We are preparing to start work on the next Persona.
Destructoid: I was thrilled last week to see the Wave figure of Rise from Persona 4 open for preorder as I've been dying to expand my Persona 4 figure collection, but apparently it's not going to stop there as pictures of a bikini version of Rise popped up today.
Gamer Limit writes: Last week we reported Rise from Persona 4 will be getting a figure release. At the time, the figure wasn't available for per-order. While I was browsing on some PVC websites this morning, I saw some of them including ToysLogic and Hobby Search were already taking pre-orders.
Destructoid writes: So far there have been toy releases of both the iconic Teddie and lovely Yukiko from Persona 4, but many of the game's rabid fans have expressed interest in seeing more collectibles of the characters (I'm waiting on a Yosuke and a Naoto myself). Akiba Hobby posted their first round of photo coverage from the Hobby Complex (Hobikon) 07 held in Tokyo, and among all the lovely PVC I spotted something very relevant to Persona 4 fans interest -- a beautiful figure of Rise!
