PS2 - Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - Hot Coffee Suit Pointed to Take-Two Duplicity Born of Financial Turmoil Struggling to stay afloat, Take-Two decided to ship Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas with a sex scene in the game and later lied to investors to cover up their decision, according to the suit settled today.

The 2006 suit, which was tentatively settled for $20 million, also alleges that company officers earned more than $18 million in insider trading even as the company's stock plummeted.

"As a result of the disclosures of the Company's true financial condition, its stock ratings have been slashed," the suit, initially filed by John Fenninger who purchased Take-Two common stock, states. "Moreover, the Company is exposed to class action lawsuits and regulatory enforcement actions brought by the Attorney Generals of several states. While the public investors lost over one billion dollars in market capitalization, the Individual Defendants pocketed over $18 million in insider trading proceeds."

PS2 - God of War II - US indie studio signed for God of War conversion Texas-based Blast Factor developer Bluepoint helps switch PS2 titles to PS3.

Sony has announced plans to release retooled versions of its God of War PS2 games for the PS3 - and has signed up US independent studio Bluepoint to help with the conversion.

The new versions of God of War 1 and 2 will boast Trophy support and HD visuals, all stored on a Blu-ray disc - which conveniently arrives in stores a few months before the arrival of 2010's God of War 3.

The games were originally developed by SCEA's Santa Monica Studio.

PS2 - Rock Band - Rock Band: Some artists "missing the point" Music artist who criticise Rock Band and other music games of distracting kids from playing real instruments are taking "a narrow perspective of things", says Harmonix's John Drake.

"I think they're missing the point. I think that they don't understand why it's a phenomenon," Drake told CVG. "From my perspective, anything that gets kids interested in music and gets kids playing music in their house that isn't an MP3 they stole off the internet, is a good thing.

PS2 - MotorStorm: Arctic Edge - Motorstorm Arctic Edge Dated for September 29 for PSP TripleChat writes that the popular PS3 franchise, Motorstorm, officially marks its debut on the PSP in late September - the 29th to be exact.
