PS2 News | Gran Turismo 4
Following that the UK version of Gran Turismo 4 was delayed - again - until early 2005, it today looks as if a firm release date has been set in place. And... drum roll please... the date for your diaries is 23 February. So just the, erm, four months left to wait then.Slightly nearer though is Sony's highly touted (and supposedly Halo-rivalling) first-person shooter Killzone. While we're not entirely sure that it'll be able to match up to its seminal Xbox counterpart, this still promises to be ...

PS2 News | Viewtiful Joe 2
Behind every great man is a great woman (and sometimes in front too but only if he is very lucky). Well, Viewtiful Joe certainly is a lucky fellow because this time his great woman is ready to step out of his shadow. So, after defeating the Captain single-handed in the original adventure, he can hand over half the ass-kicking duty to the lovely Sylvia for this sequel. And what a sequel it looks too: true to the original comic carnage but at the same time offering more than ever before. New ...

PS2 News | Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
We could say that those who live by the jemmy, crowbar and balaclava die by the jemmy, crowbar and balaclava. But we won't because even Rockstar, those riders of the gaming crime wave, have become the latest victims of pilfering software pirates. Just as with Halo 2 and Half-Life 2 before, some deviant sort has pilfered the game and set it up for download on various websites along with copies of the manual and even parts of the packaging. No-one seems sure of the origin of the leak but today ...

PS2 News | Gran Turismo 4
You might be starting to think that it's the official name of the game: 'Gran Turismo 4 Delayed'. It's not, but just how many times have we seen those four words shunted together? Hopefully this will be the last outing for that particular phrase because after all those on/off online problems, this time (hopefully) the delay should be a minor one. Confirming the slip in a statement, Sony said: "The localisation of GT4 across the PAL territories is a huge undertaking because the product is ...

PS2 News | WWE Smackdown Vs Raw
In a turn of events almost as bizarre as the pseudo-sport itself, wrestling giants WWE have filed a lawsuit against THQ - who possess the licence to publish WWE-based games until December 2009, which includes the hugely successful Smackdown series. The suit alleges that a former WWE licensing and merchandising boss received bribes from toy manufacturer Jakks Pacific in 1998 to ensure that a joint venture between Jakks and THQ would be given the rights to produce WWE videogames - even though ...

PS2 News | Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
The steady drip, drip, drip of GTA San Andreas info continues as Rockstar squeeze out yet more fact-droplets from their ghetto superstar. This time, their latest spurt reveals not only which mobs populate Los Santos but also what CJ will need to do to fit in. Out have gone the cartoon Cosa Nostra and the Hare Krishna bumper-fodder of the old games to be replaced by as serious selection of original gangsters, based on the west coast mobsters of the '90s. So now rolling with a crew means more ...

PS2 News | Tekken 5
Don't fret, Namco - those masters of arcade battery - haven't opted to make Tekken 5 into a Super Smash Bros style fury free-for-all. Instead these latest screens from the upcoming coin-op reveal a piratical version of Jack and a cartoon King complete with cutesy eyes and fluffy ears. The reason for the change is a brand new system of interchangeable cards that will let you customise one of the 20 characters and take them in your iron fist from arcade bout to coin-op battle.
