PS2 News from N4G | Guitar Hero II
PS2 - Guitar Hero II - Destructoid Exclusive: Rock Axe, the guitar controller to end 'em all Dick McVengeance of Destructoid says,

"Let's face it: the Guitar Hero controller is not the ideal item for the game. It'd be nice to hold a full-sized guitar in your hands. We've seen people build custom controllers and put them on eBay, but those were one-off deals, and usually rather expensive."

PS2 News from N4G | Guitar Hero World Tour
PS2 - Guitar Hero World Tour - Music Studio in The Next Guitar Hero - POD by Line 6 announced Alan Tsang of PS3Fanboy says,

"Not to be outdone by the onslaught of Rock Band 2 information leaking out, Activision has officially announced a collaboration with Line 6 to integrate the Line 6 POD into the new Music Studio in Guitar Hero World Tour. The Music Studio is a feature that will allow you "record, edit and share their own rock 'n' roll anthems." No vocals though, sorry! The POD, on the other hand, basically allows the player to change guitar tones using amps, cabs and effects. You can go anywhere from acoustic to heavy metal with this baby."

PS2 News from N4G | Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII
PS2 - Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII - Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII going "international" in Japan Three years after it came out in Japan, Square Enix will release Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII International as a value priced Ultimate Hits game on September 4. Don't get envious yet. Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII International is in actuality just the North America version of Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII. When Square Enix localized the game Vincent learned how to run faster, got a limit break item to transform instead of using his MP, and had a number of post game Extra Missions. The catch was online play via PlayOnline found in the original Japanese release was removed from the game.

PS2 News from N4G | Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
PS2 - Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - Using sex and violence in design: Burger King did it their way with a GTA Theme A marketing and design firm reports that a German ad campaign is using Grand Theft Auto themes to promote Burger King. The campaign's "Veg City" theme is centered around the idea of fresh ingredients and giving customers choices in ordering from Burger King's menu:

"The first thing to remember is this would never work in America. While GTA: Vice City is still the best selling PS2 game of all time, it came with its share of backlash... However, the German culture is quite different than ours and one has to keep in mind the intended audience when evaluating a campaign..."

PS2 News from N4G | Disgaea: Hour of Darkness
PS2 - Disgaea: Hour of Darkness - Three semi-rare PS2 games get reprints Destructoid writes: "Reprints rock. Especially reprints of Atlus and NIS games that you missed out on during the initial run and are now selling for well above the MSRP. We told you about Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne getting the reprint treatment a few months ago, and now bring word of another title in the SMT line that is as well.

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga is now available at Play-Asia for $44.90. Play-Asia has also let us know through their newsletter that their supply of Nocturne reprints have also been restocked, so feel free to nab one of those if you haven't already.

The NIS camp is also reprinting one of its harder to find games, AR Tonelico: Melody of Elemia. They also have a reprint of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness available, but that's not quite as exciting due to there already being several versions available and another one coming to the DS. While both of these are available at Play-Asia as well, their prices are marked up rather high. Pick em up at NIS distributor Rosenqueen instead."
