PS2 News | The Warriors
The Rockstar PR machine has kicked into life again today with the result of the first proper screenshots of The Warriors. However, in typically enigmatic fashion, the GTA publisher hasn't released any new information on the game. What we do already know, however, is that the game's storyline is set before the cult classic (and entirely cheesy) 1979 gang flick, which follows New York gang The Warriors as they attempt to escape from the enemy turf of the Upper Bronx back to their home territory ...

PS2 News | The Warriors
After hearing whispers of Rockstar's take on cult movie The Warriors for what seems like years, we've finally got hold of some solid details of what the PS2 and Xbox title will entail. Not only that, we've also uncovered the first ever shots of the game in action (albeit in dodgy scanned-in-from-a-magazine stylee). The shots in question have been hosted by a Warriors fan site and are taken from the new issue of US mag Game Informer. The images aren't of the highest quality but they do ...

PS2 - Warriors Orochi - IGN: The Wednesday 10: Fixing Dynasty Warriors IGN:
KOEI's Dynasty Warriors franchise has been around for years now. The name has become synonymous with button-mashing, as players continuously wade through hundreds of enemies with a very limited series of attacks. Although the original games were well-received, recent entries have been much less impressive, as the gameplay and tech feel increasingly stale with each iteration.

PS2 News from N4G | Warriors Orochi
PS2 - Warriors Orochi - Musou Orochi: Rebirth of the Demon Lord - THE TRUE WARRIORS OROCHI In a surprise turn of events, Koei has unveiled the sequel to the highly successful crossover Warriors Orochi in this week's Famitsu. In the original, the demon king Orochi combines the worlds of Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors, and spreads chaos. The new game will feature several new additions including new characters (Fu Xi, Nu Wa, all the characters from the expansion Samurai Warriors 2: Xtreme Legends - out March 18), stages (all new exclusive stages - Itsukushima - along with SW2:XL's brand of stages), modes (Dramatic, Survival, and, the long awaited return for, Versus Mode, which will feature the signature three-on-three design the original developed). Expect all this and more as new gameplay modes will be revealed throughout the year up until its release in Japan on April 3rd.

SPECULATION: Many have begun to suspect that the new Versus mode could be similar to the Duel mode, first introduced by Dynasty Warriors 4. Further inspection has led some beginning to think these arenas will be much larger than previous entries in the series.

PS2 - Warriors Orochi 2 - Retail Scoop: New Releases Week of August 25, 2009 TripleChat is happy to bring you the new releases each week for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable. Along with all the new releases for each console; TripleChat also gives the scoop on what to expect in new bluray movies and how hyped you should be to either upgrade from DVD or buy for the first time.

This Week: For those who wanted to see a selection of new games instead of just one (unlike the past 2 weeks), gamers are in luck. The selection is pretty one-side but that's beside the point. This week the much anticipated release of Batman Arkham Asylum is finally here for PS3 users. On the PSP front - the semi-hyped up DISSIDIA Final Fantasy comes out as well as Warriors Orochi 2. New for the PS2 is the sequel of Mana Khemia and this week on PSN TripleChat can confirm the release of Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao.

Bluray wise, another solid week for TV show fans as Smallville (one of the first shows to go blu) releases its latest season and FOX's new drama Lie to Me makes its debut. On the movie front there is a non-Twilight related Kristen Stewart flick from the director of the insane comedy Superbad. And from the makers of the low-budget, but highly praised Little Miss Sunshine, the lovely Amy Adams stars in Sunshine Cleaning. For fans of the Devil May Cry video game franchise, the complete anime series makes its mark this week (exclusively on bluray).

Also posted are a few good incentive into buying this week's releases but nothing any gamer should be too excited about.
