One of 2006's biggest come-from-behind contenders is Tales of the Abyss. Due to be released this fall, it's an action-packed RPG with an epic story. PS2 News | Tales of the Abyss
If dungeon-delving, anime-style character designs and the phrase "real-time battles" are the kinds of things that turn your crank, then you'll want to keep an eye out for Tales of Abyss. I haven't started yet." The only other actor to be linked to the film is Brian J White, soon to be seen in upcoming big-screen game adaptations of Dungeon Siege and Dead or Alive. Tekken is due ...

PS2 News | Tekken 5
Don't fret, Namco - those masters of arcade battery - haven't opted to make Tekken 5 into a Super Smash Bros style fury free-for-all. Instead these latest screens from the upcoming coin-op reveal a piratical version of Jack and a cartoon King complete with cutesy eyes and fluffy ears. The reason for the change is a brand new system of interchangeable cards that will let you customise one of the 20 characters and take them in your iron fist from arcade bout to coin-op battle. So the more wins ...

Other new characters include Raven, who specialises in kicks; Asuka Kazama, a female related to Jun; and kung fu exponent Feng Wei.As you can tell by these shots, the gameplay focus is on over-the-top attacks, with less of Tekken 4's realism-based moves. PS2 News | Tekken 5
Namco's recently released financial earnings statement has revealed a few details on the next instalment of Tekken. Most notably, the console release of Tekken 5 will be a PS2-exclusive and will go on sale in 2005.The first official did state that the game was coming to consoles, which fuelled speculation that maybe, just maybe, it would make it to Xbox. Unsurprisingly, that isn't the case and, once again, only Sony's console will host Namco's finest pugilists. However, we wouldn't entirely ...
